We were using a clumping clay litter and it smelled awful no matter how often we scooped it or changed out the litter. These pellets are awesome at drying out the solid waste and eliminating the stink very quickly. Scooping this litter is much easier than any clay litter because, once the pellets dry everything out, you can just pluck the solids out of the pile of pellets. The pellets last for at least a month, which is more than I can say for clay litter.
