So far it looks happy and healthy and beautiful in this great little planter. We used it for a small herb garden. There are no drain holes in the bottom unfortunately. A small drill fixed that problem though. My only complaint would be that the log is very light weight so don't leave it out during even moderate winds or it will be rolling across your yard.
