Was a gift. Wonderful book to give to any Rolex collector.

"Vintage Rolex Sports Models" is a great little book for both the hobbyist and serious collector of Rolex Sports watches like the GMT Master and the Submariner. It presents a lot of useful information in both the text and photographs. The price is not beyond the reach of the average buyer either. A nice purchase at a fair price for the men and women who love their Rolex and may want to know more about the history of their favorite watch.

This book is a high quality review with hundreds of pictures and well documented lineage of the sport (tool) watches from Rolex. A must have book for any owner, collector, or enthusiast.

The good: Quality binding and paper. Some Interesting info that I haven't found elsewhere. Reasonably good cross-section of watches The bad: pictures of watches look computer-generated. No detail on watches except front shot. Very approximate info on watches.. for example years in production.. early 1970's! Other publications specify serial number ranges and exact years. Very little specifics on the differences within each watch family. Some of the images are very small with loads of white space around them. Overpriced for what you get. Rather spend a lot more for the Mondani Rolex books where you get tons of large images of real watches, detailed descriptions and images showing differences and evolution of various watch models. I would return my book if shipping back from overseas was easy. Do NOT waste your money on this book

Great book. Rolex is notoriously secretive about their watches and this book is very helpful for a collector of their sport watches.

A must for any watch collector....if you love Rolex this is the Holy Grail of reference books.... it is absolutely crammed with important detail ..coloured photographs and so much more...

The best Rolex book I've read, but it only covers sports models up to the early 80s and omits the Air King model completely. The authors need to write a follow up.
