This toy is excellent. I've run into a few duds with some other brands, but this is my first Bark Box toy-in-a-toy and I am completely sold. The outer layer is durable enough to last a few solid chews before breaking into the inner toy, and the ball is a new favorite for my dog. It bounces, it squeaks, it's soft and chewy but the rubber is tough. It's great! Just for reference, my dog is a little 10lb Jack Chi that LOVES destroying toys and this one really challenged him while keeping him engaged. He loves it! I did snip the tag off before giving it to him as well which also made it more challenging I think. UPDATE: So, it has been 2 years since I bought my dog this toy and not only is the blue ball still around (albeit without the squeaker as of a few months ago), it is officially my dog's best friend. He sleeps with it, carries it around the house with him, plays fetch with it, and chews on it everyday. We've officially named it Ball and my dog knows its name. Other toys have come and gone but Ball has my dog's heart forever.

Our medium golden doodle would seemingly rather destroy toys then play like a cute, fluffy boy should. However, these Monsieur Acorns are awesome. He knows there's a ball in there, and enjoys playing with it both as an intact acorn, a ball, or the floppy acorn skin. Once he "rescues" the ball from the acorn...it's a whole new toy...and we then call it a spicy meatball as it still has fabric around the spiky ball; for some reason, he leaves the fabric around that ball more often than not (we buy a couple every month or so). So we gave a small collection of spicy meatballs. He also enjoys the pineapple and the cactus...but Monsieur Acorn is the favorite.

Our dog absolutely loves this toy and somehow- months later- the squeaker still squeaks! She usually demolishes the squeakers on other toys within the first our or so and then becomes bored with the toy all together. Not Monsieur Acorn! Squeaker still still squeaks w/ no issues. She has managed to rip off his stem but the stitching is so great that she has barely been able to get any stuffing out of it- again normally, there would be stuffing all over our home in meer hours. She loves this brand of toys and have had great luck w/ Their durability.

So this toy is sooo so cute and my dog loves it but it’s so sturdy that I think although it can be used for small-medium sized dogs, even large dogs can use it because it takes a real stiff squeeze to get the squeaker to work for us. I don’t know if it’s just our squeaker or it’s the amount of stuffing in the toy, either way I’m glad my dog loves playing with it regardless. You can tell the toy is very well made and will last.

My dog loves this. He assumes every toy is for destroying so he’s had a lot of practice and can rip this In about 10 minutes. But then he finds so much obsessive enjoyment with the ball inside. The fabric gets really soggy after a bit of fetch but you can cut it off to find the rubber ball inside. I recommend!

bark Box is absolutely the best. I have three dogs and they’re all terrors. They are usually very rough with toys, but so far have not managed to destroy any of the toys, I’ve bought off of Amazon from the Bark Box store. They still have no idea that another toy lies inside the acorn.

my dogs love squeaky toy, but let me tell you they love to tear things up, i knew this toy wouldnt last very long , but i knew that because they eat rawhides like crazy, this would be great for dogs that like to play. ,, but very happy with it while it lasted

Got this in a bark box and my poodle loved it so much. The toy last over a year but when it started to get rip I was so excited to find one on Amazon. So cute, durable and my dog’s favorite toy.

Super cute! Pretty durable! Our pup loves it and I actually can't wait for her to rip this one open to be surprised by a whole new toy inside!

Frankie the 7.5 month old chihuahua loved it, took him a few weeks to get through it but he also loves his other toys. 10/10 would recommend. A bigger dog may get through it rather quickly though.
