Great bike, amazing customer service
We purchased this bike for our son who just learned to ride a bike this summer. We decided on the Freestyle 5 because of the front and back hand brakes versus the pedal brakes most kids bikes offer. He has an older brother who has a mountain bike that changes gears and can pedal backwards. This was a good compromise to getting him a bike that fit him without needing the different gears at his age. About 2 months into riding his bike the chain started falling off every single time he rode it. I tried everything I could think of and even things YouTube suggested with getting the tension correct. It didnโt change anything, the chain kept coming off. It really seemed like the bearings had dirt or sand in them and it was in an enclosed casing that I couldnโt access with the tools I have. My son was disappointed, sad, and mad because even if he rode his bike for a few minutes to play with friends he was left behind when his chain would inevitably come off. I decided as a last ditch effort to reach out to RoyalBaby and find out if they had parts I could purchase to get him back on his bike. After a few weeks and several emails back and forth RoyalBaby sent us a whole new bike! I was flabbergasted! We could not be more happy with how the customer service department has helped us with this issue. We are beyond grateful and I donโt want to sound like we are not but I just want to mention we were sent the Freestyle 3 which has a different braking system than that of the Freestyle 5. The 3 has the coasting pedal brakes you push back to stop with and the 5 has the front and back hand brakes. Depending on your child and what they prefer to do when they brake while biking is what bike I would suggest to purchase. They look almost identical besides the way you stop. I would definitely recommend this bike brand and their customer service has been extraordinary! UPDATE- I switched my 4 star to a 5 star review. I had emailed RoyalBaby back thanking them for the bike and politely letting them know it was not the same model and we would do our best with the model they sent us but my son is not use to the pedal coasting brakes so he was having a hard time with it. THEY SENT ANOTHER BIKE IN THE CORRECT MODEL!!! I cannot say more nice things about the customer service of this company! They went above and beyond and we are so grateful for them rectifying a situation that may or may not have been a manufacturer defect! Thank you so much Royalbaby! We will be telling everyone we know about your bikes!!

Issues with both bikes we ordered
First, we ordered a "like new" 12 inch white bike from Amazon resale, but it arrived with the metal all scratched up and missing parts. The bike itself seemed like it would have been nice otherwise, but we had to return it and try again. After that, we decided to buy a new option instead and went with the 12" black bike, which was on sale at the time. When we got it, there was a note saying we had received an "upgrade despite it being in stock", which is basically their way of saying they didn't send me the bike I had ordered and wanted. The handlebars had a plastic piece in the center, where the original only had metal. And the seat was the black version that had less space between the seat and the plastic piece behind it (allowing for an even smaller area on an already small seat). The back of the seat had the rocket blaster looking water bottle (which is awkwardly shaped and has two lids that screw on) attached rather than the holder being separate and sized for a regular water bottle. Sadly, if you wanted to simply remove the rocket water bottle, the plastic back of the seat has openings that seem flimsy and like they would accumulate dust/water. Additionally, one of the brake lines was bright orange rather than black. All in all, a disappointment, but after having ordered multiple like new options which all arrived either missing parts or with the metal all scratched up, we weren't too hopeful about being able to reorder it and actually receive the correct one if they swapped this one out without permission. It does have the wider than standard wheels which is a nice feature for new riders and is overall a nice bike, which is why we kept trying. For the price though, you would think they would send you the bike you ordered rather than assuming you would be fine with a different version.

Quality product!
Back in college, I used to work in a bike shop that sold low-mid price bicycles. I spent a lot of time assembling and repairing them. Lots of times, lower-end bikes had lots of issues: bent parts, untrue wheels, misaligned brakes, etc. I had never heard of the Royal Baby brand before, but after reading other reviews, I decided to get one for my eight year old son. Of course, when it arrived, I gave it my usual thorough walkthrough. Initially, I noticed that the parts seemed to be good quality. Welds were solid and the finish was perfect. Assembly was just like any other bicycle: pedals, handlebars, seat, accessories. All parts lined up perfectly on the first try. No fighting, no twisting and pulling, none of that. It also comes with some cheap tools to help with assembly, so you don't have to worry about finding a pedal wrench, or the right size metric allen. Once together, I started to look at the mechanics. Tires were very true. There was no noticeable wobble to them, which was abnormal for bikes in the $100-150 range. The brakes were adjusted perfectly. They were centered on the rim and had the perfect amount of pull. Overall, it seems like a quality bike for the price and I am pleased with the purchase.

Quality Kid's Bike
Awesome bike. There are so many features demonstrating how the design team focused on functionality instead of borrowing the cheapest design like so many companies do. For starters, it comes mostly preassembled. The company already has the major parts put together and took the time to get them straight and properly tightened. You simply pull the bike out of the box, align the handlebars, and insert them into the stem. The brake levers and cables are already installed and adjusted. Then drop in the seat stem. Screw on the pedals, attach the fenders and reflectors, and it's done. The frame is lighter than a BMX bike. The rear wheel has an enclosed disc brake which stops faster. The chain guard is more compact than most to reduce the chance of breaking. The rear fender is mounted to the seat stem so it simply pushes aside rather than breaking if it is accidentally kicked. The kickstand is an unusual design which keeps it out of the way on the back axle. It has a spring lock to keep it engaged until intentionally raised. The company even took the trouble to weld on the base for installing a rear cargo basket. The only oversight is the rear reflector. It is the same type that is mounted on the seat stem of an adult bike, but on a kids bike like this, it isn't visible enough to be safe. But my kid shouldn't be riding in the dark, so it's good enough for us. Not only is it obviously designed with ergonomics and performance in mind, but the high quality components are evident.

Good deal is not always Good product, Doubt yourself
Very poor-quality bike. It looks nice online, but the build quality is cheap. My 4-year-old has not even been able to properly ride it because the tire keeps losing air every time he tries. Definitely not worth the money.

High quality Bicycle
Very good build, feels premium and very easy to assemble. Alittle heavy, but quality is very good. I would definitely purchase again once my child grows bigger.
