The unit is smaller than the picture indicates but fits well in hand. It is accurate within spec as far as I can tell, using both a Tek 'scope and some cheaper meters for reference. The display is large and well laid out, but difficult to see under fluorescent lights without the backlight enabled, but there is no mains adapter to counter the battery usage of the backlight. Still a very usable instrument for the price.

This is junk. You can get better meters for LESS than this cheap meter. Poor reliability, mediocre continuity speed. Don't waste your time or money with this trash.

This was much smaller than I expected. I thought it was regular size meter. This meter is very accurate. I tested it against AD584 precision voltage reference of 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 voltage references. It passed all 4 which is not surprising. I specifically bought this model because I watched a youtube video where this was tested with AD584. Conclusion , You don't need to spend big $$ to achieve the level of accuracy of Fluke . I needed this meter so I can calibrate my lipo battery charger to 3 decimal places.

Mine had a ridge of plastic (flash/parting line projection) on both the needle-tip probes. It made them too wide to screw into the cables. So I had to trim them with a knife. Mild annoyance. Functionality of the meter is pretty impressive though. Glad I bought it!

If we pay $10 for this crap. We paid too much. I pass it on to the kids so they can learn things. I don't want to see this toy in the shop.

As others who are in the know this is light and may feel like a toy but in this price range and tested by EEVBLOG this is the best Multimeter you can get in this price bracket. No you won't be doing a ton of mains or high current work with this but what it does do it does spectacularly and keeps up with the precision lab grade equipment better than just about all the rest in this price range.

Saw it recommended on EEVblog and decided to go with it. So far so good! It's smaller than expected and light, but accurate and fast.

I will reach for this meter most for the time but my Fluke 87 will remain my "reference" meter (in lieu of a certified meter). My other cheapy died on some dial positions so it was time to replace it. I don't need to know or care what eevblog (referred to above) has to say about this or any other electronic device. I can work stuff out by myself thank you and big tip, exercise and train your own brain and not rely on other, possibly flaky or biased opinions. There are plenty of reputable reviewers on the net to compare against each other to either reinforce or trash your mental rating. It should boil down to, a decently accurate meter that is cheap enough that should it die for some reason or it goes mia while on the job, it's no great loss. But I hope you check elsewhere if this one suits your needs. Meanwhile, using this meter helps me look after my Fluke for the important and LV stuff. Be warned, this seller is S-L-O-W . . . . . . . . . [zzzz]. Edit: By slow I mean I just received the unit after . . . hmm, 24 dayz.

Thought I needed it, bought it, turned out I didn't need it, forgot about it, needed it today, found it, used it, and damn, it's such a nice multimeter, I think I'll be stuck with this one for a very very long time. And the screen lights up, which is such a nice feature!

multi meter arrived without any probes or leads. how do i get the rest of what was purchased?
