WOLF-Garten Comfort Plus Bypass Pruner - RR2500

Very good Bypass Pruner. Worth every penny.

I like my WOLF-Garten anvil pruners better than their bypass pruners. I am a man and have average size hands, and WOLF-Garten’s anvil pruners fit my hand much better than their bypass pruners. For me, their bypass pruners are uncomfortable to hold or use because they open so wide. This model, the RR2500, has a shorter handle than WOLF-Garten's other bypass pruners -- the RR4000 and the RR5000 Professional (which I rarely use anymore) -- and is therefore less uncomfortable for me than those models. However, even this smaller model, the WOLF-Garten RR2500, doesn’t fit my hand as well as WOLF-Garten's anvil pruners. My favorite WOLF-Garten Anvil Pruner is the 7227007; I bought two of them. Although this pruner, the WOLF-Garten RR2500, is always somewhat uncomfortable in my hand, I do use it (and my other bypass pruners) when cutting live branches. The WOLF-Garten RR2500 will cut any stick that can fit inside its blades. Thick sticks require some hand-strength, but it's able to cut them. I use my anvil pruners to cut dead sticks, and I use my bypass pruners to cut living plants. An anvil pruner crushes plant stems, instead of slicing cleanly through them like a bypass pruner, and conceivably could slightly harm some living plants.

hello, we have a bunch of wolf garten gardening tools. why mess with those you see at the big box stores? wolf garten makes the best by far in any gardening tool around. this model has a hidden spring and the feel of the cutter is perfect in all sizes of hands. no more springs that pop out making a cutter worthless without the spring. comfort, super sharp blads, great grip and ease of carrying it closed after the simple flick lever. our wolf garten tool collection just got a little stronger with the addition of this bypass pruner rr2500 model. an outstanding design and pure comfort. it is too bad that wolf garten no longer makes or stocks the weed remover with a simple twist. that tool takes out any weed, root and all with a simple twisting motion. please bring it back... stand up weeding is much better than kneeling or just cutting off the top with a rake.

Expected quality pruners, and was not disappointed. Smooth clean action. We didn't try them on 22mm branches, so cannot say how they would actually fare with the maximum capacity, but worked nicely on smaller stuff. Can be used by smaller hands without problem. The thumb latch works for now, but only the future will say with any thumb latch. These have a 10 year warranty, so stay tuned for updates in the next 10 years. With the coated blades, they will likely last a long time. Ordered a second pair when the first pair arrived, and we were able to test them.

I've had Wolf-Garten pruners before and had found them to be very durable. I would not use any other pruners.

Brillian piece of gardening equipment. It is very comfortable to use with the comfort handles. My husband has used it for some time now and it is as good as new in spite of all the work they have performed together, and they sre both still going strong!
