As of 2009, Yardley has been owned by Wipro, an Indian multinational corporation. So, Yardley the 252-year-old English company that originated in 1770, long before both the Victorians existed and the U.S. Constitution was written, had ceased to be an English company thirteen years ago from the time of this writing. So, Yardley products today may look as if they are still an English company, and in some cases smell like they are still an English company, and their products may even continue to be made as if it were still and English company. But for all intents and purposes, Yardley is not an English company anymore. Yardley has been sold off apparently and now, much like all else around us, Yardley is nothing more than a brand. . . a facade, a package, a design –– complete with appropriately recognizable fonts, graphics, and colors. . . That is all. Understand that when you purchase a Yardley product, that is all it is, and nothing more. Just as so much of today's world is, nothing but images. The sooner we piddly wee mortals understand and accept these simple truths, the sooner we can begin to accept and better understand the new world order we now live in. At the moment, this world is a quiet and relatively innocuously stable situation, at least for the time being. But never confuse or fool yourself. This new world order is one where corporate interests trump individual interests and as long as we keep our noses down, keep purchasing and purchasing more of their goods and services, while working and working for whatever they're willing to part with, then we shall exist pretty much be left to our own devices. Remember, just keep working and buying, and you will essentially have met their requirements.

Is this real talc and not past its expiration date?

Yes, this is real talc and the fresh stock. This product is manufactured in India, so the expiry dates may come in the Indian date format. In the Indian date format, manufacturer only mention the Manufacturing date and for expiry date they do only mention the time frame. For example, if the manufacturing date is Feb 2021 then they may mention the expiry date as 12 months after the manufacturing date, which means the expiry date would be Jan 2022. In such cases, this may confuse the US customers and they find the product as expired.

I just bought yardley lavender perfume talc, my old can is cream and purple the new can is more purple with cream is there a difference, both fr UK bought inUSA

The original talc container, has not changed its appearance, dating back to circa late 19th century. The same colors, lavender and cream, remain today. There are other Yardley talc varieties, rose, white lilac where the container color differentiates from the original lavender can. UK is the country of origin and Yardley of London Ltd continues to produce the same delightful and unimitated fragrance .

Does this have a nice strong lavender scent or is it really floral vs lavender/mint?

It is a nice lavender scent but is slightly different from the English Lavender by Yardley that I have purchased previously and labeled the same. I love it so I will continue to purchase it.

Classic rose scent that keeps her feeling fresh after a shower 🚿

I bought Yardley English Perfumed Talc, Rose for my wife, and she absolutely loves it. A bit pricey, for the amount of powder you get

The product itself is great nice sandalwood smell smooth powder. It’s just a lot smaller than I expected by probably have for the cost. It’s a bit pricey., also I had to take the top off to get the power out. It wouldn’t come through the plastic top.

A staple in our house

I find this light and pleasant, a bit old-fashioned. I guess it makes me nostalgic for when I was little visiting my grannies and aunties, but I enjoy it for a quick all-body powder after a cosy hot bath.
