It's just a regular light bulb size that fits in any socket and that is it. Kitchen is a constant place all my family member goes to and my son always leaves it on when so this way he doesn't need to worry about forgetting to switch the light off.The sensors activates when you are about 8-10 feet away from the sensor. I think you can probably get further if it's higher. Mine was in the kitchen and light bulb was about a foot above my eye level.The white lumen lights is very bright. Also the sensor is on the end of the lightbulb so any light frame you planning to use it on has to be pointing downward. I tried it on the hall way that has a glass cap over the light bulb and also it points at about 45 degree angle and it was not able to detect me walking under or swinging my hand I front of the sensor.So works best when the light bulb not in any housing or casing. ### ⭐ No range, poor detection, stays on for barely any time at all. *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2019* Range is extremely small, and light turns off way too quickly for any actual practical use of the light. We put this in the garage. It turns on when you're directly under it-- which is where my car engine is. If I go to the trunk of the car to get something, it detects no motion and I end up in the dark after a few seconds. Then I have to walk back to the front of the car, waving my hands to get it to turn on again, and then repeat after a few seconds. The product is totally useless for this application. I put one in my garage. The main light switch is across the room from where I enter so it was tricky to make it across the room without bumping into something. I hooked up this light in a lamp and now everyone I come through the door it pops on. So awesome. The other place I have one is in a ceiling light fixture in my closet. So dark in there and the light switch was in an awkward place so it was always a hassle to get to it. I leave the light switch on and the light comes on anytime I go to the closet. It's awesome.
