happier now that my holdercan be locked on
doesnt feel as positive as the old one. but my old one fell off twice after catching my jacket. I would prefer to have the catch still made from metatal. but is certainly more secure now.

Loving the new filter holder
I had the previous Lee filter holder which I’ve been using for many years. Honestly I couldn’t imagine why would anyone upgrade to the new one. However I didn’t have a polariser and looking at the options, I wanted to invest in the new one rather then the fiddly old model so made sense to upgrade my holder. Works well, looks great and loving the fact I can lock it so it doesn’t fall off.

No light leakage, well made & light to carry.
No light leakage with Lee 15 or Formatt Hightec16 stopper ND's, for up to 10 minutes, well made & light to carry. Very good value.

Simple to attatch to adaptor ring but important to use the locking feature when in use.
Typical quality for Lee product but equally typical is the relatively high cost.

Product quality
A quality product made by Lee Filters. Does exactly as described and excellent delivery time. Would recommend this to anyone interested in buying a filter system. Not just for professional photographers.

Light and quick to use.
I have used this item a few times now and I find it very light and quick to use. Yes it appears to be made of some kind of composite plastic material but it is said to be very robust. Weight wise it is marginally lighter than the old metal version. The locking mechanism on the side is a handy feature that stops the filter unit being moved by accident. It can also be extended from one to three filter slots easily with the supplied tools and bits. It isn't a life changing piece of kit but it does the job better than the older version and it looks good. I own both versions and I found that this one is less likely to cause any signs of vignette in the corners of wide angle lenses. Overall I am very happy with it and will not doubt be using it for years to come.

Hmmmmm The Lee Filters 100 Holder
Firstly I would have to ask what am I paying £78 for? The older version was still a composite plastic but it had some solidity to it and felt more like a premium product with its brass knurled head this is a composite plastic that just doesn't have the same solid feel. You will need to buy this if like me you have brought the new polariser from LEE that this is designed to work with and they do work very well together. Just doesn't feel like £78 worth of product to me.
