Absolutely love the ceramic pot minder, works perfectly, keeps the water from boiling over in the pot. Absolutely worth it and would purchase again in the future need to be.

I made this purchase because I broke my wife's glass one that is over 40 years old. I enjoyed using the glass one for years. This one is ceramic. It works. It seems to work differently than the glass one. By that I mean the glass one rattled around more in the pot while cooking. The glass one is heavier and has larger raised areas. That may be the difference. I will continue using it for as long as it lasts. However, if I find a glass one, I will purchase it as well.

I cook a lot of pasta and was sick of my pots boiling over. I know the spoon trick, but I have a gas stove and I don't like to leave the wood spoon near the stove. This little gadget is amazing!!!!!!!!!! My pots never boil over. I have even purchased these as gifts!

I love this little guy! I would definitely recommend!! I had the spoon that sits on top before, but they tend to melt. This little guy is great! He goes right in the pot and is a good reminder I have water going as you can hear him dancing in the pot! Lol my kids even tell me he is dancing mommy, check the pasta! I will be buying one for my sister, mother and niece for Christmas!

I use the disk in a pot of water so I’ll know when it reaches the boiling point. It rattles…not very loud, but it’s audible. Very useful if you like to start eggs in cold water and remove from heat once the water boils.

I have used several methods over the years to prevent boil overs for pasta, potatoes, etc…. This little disc is by far the best I have ever used. I don’t find the “clatter” sound that annoying, just reminds me to turn down the heat under the pot. I highly recommend this great little invention. You won’t be sorry.

I’ve used these pot minders for years for making pasta. I recently broke mine and quickly discovered it is a kitchen essential! I don’t understand why they work, but I can’t live without it.

I bought this little device exactly 10 years back in the UK and loved it everytime I cooked my Pasta as it really prevented the water from overboiling. I am happy that I found the item on Amazon to get some more for relatives in Germany.

This piece of flat disc pottery is great. It actiually does stop anything from boiling over in a saucepan. Even boiling milk. Would not be without it. Great lil item
