I purchased this printer over 6 years ago to replace another inferior brand which was problematic. It is not used in an industrial setting, but I made the significant price difference purchase to eliminate frustration with erratic printing and feeding with my former label printer. This is a wonderful printer with LOTS of options too numerous to list individually. My only disappointment is that it will not work with single-use lithium AA batteries which never leak, and which I use in just about everything else. The lithium single-use batteries deliver a higher voltage, about 1.7-1.8V, more than the 1.5V alkaline batteries recommended in the user manual. There must be protective circuitry in this printer to provide over-voltage protection, because with single-use lithium AA batteries, the screen remains blank and it won't power on.. I don't want to chance alkaline batteries leaking and destroying my beautiful printer, so I don't leave them installed when I don't intend to use it for a while. I am very satisfied with this great label printer!

It's so refreshing to buy a product that actually meets and then exceeds your expectations and this label maker certainly qualifies. Operation of this product is very intuitive and is feature rich, so many features that you might have to refer to the manual to take full advantage of its capabilities. For simple labels, load a label cassette, pick your font size, input your text and print. Mechanically it's very robust, the rubber bumper does a good job of shock reduction. The screen is plenty large and easy to read and its memory will be retained when you turn it off (hooray - my last label maker had no permanent memory.) The labels themselves are very high quality and there is a label for any application you might have. When it's time to cut a label, the manual (built-in) cutter is very easy to operate and fully cuts the label. Another pleasant surprise is battery life, I've printed an entire 16' cassette of labels (and a few others) and the battery still shows to be full. Cons: Honestly I can't think of any.

I totally love my purchase! It is strong, sturdy and was much larger than I expected......that's a good thing! The screen is a very nice size as well. The owner's manual made it very easy to understand how to navigate through the menu and use the unit. I printed my 1st label in just a few minutes after unpacking. Key things that I like: a) You can create and store files for future printing b) You can print vertically as well as horizontally c) There are several label type options (Banner Landscape, Wire Maker, Patch Panel, etc.) d) Font size (standard and bold) e) You can place text in barcode format f) You have the option to use 6 AA batteries or an rechargeable battery (none are included) This particular model doesn't have the kickstand on it nor does it have the magnet on the back.....there's a small hole on the back of it for something to be screwed on, I guess it's for the optional magnet. All-In-All this is a great printer for the field. I hope to use it for years to come!

The basis for 5 Star is the BMP21 is light years ahead of other popular brand printers in terms of capability and quality. There's no need for concern about the labels, they are much more durable and sticker than their competitors' labels and sufficient for wiring and flat surfaces. The printrer's firmware takes care of the mode (wire, flat surface, breaker box labels, etc). The White on Blue, White on Black, and White on Red labels are particularly attractive. The optional AC adapter gets less than 5 stars due to high price. If you don't happen to have a 4 amp (or more) 9 volt DC output adapter, get one from another source and build a crossover cable (or buy one with a crossover cable) because (as another buyer pointed out) the center pin is negative. Observe this unorthodox polarity and you're good to go. There's a vendor on the website that begins with the letter "e" that provides the proper 9volt 4 amp adapter with crossover cable, for half of what Brady charges, and it works perfectly.

I ordered this for my job because the regular model had received such great reviews online and from a friend in the same industry, so I figured anything with "-PLUS" on it must get 6 out of 5 stars :D Right out of the box it didn't work. The display shows the batteries are near dead, so I put in 6 brand new Duracell 1.5V alkaline batteries and....it still says they are near dead. So, I requested a replacement on Friday at 3:30pm and it arrived today Monday at 4pm. Kudos to Amazon Prime for their delivery speed. I pulled the new one out of the box with excitement and....it did the same exact thing. The....same....exact....thing. I called Brady customer support, spoke to the very pleasant Bobby. He asked me the basic troubleshooting questions and said he would send me the AC adapter free of charge to test if the printer is the problem or the power source. Fine by me, I am always near a 120v plug. I can not rate this product anything above 1 star until I can get the dang thing to work. Update: After receiving the power adapter, the label maker works great. It is the best label maker I have used. The stickers are easy to peel and options to customize font and label type are great (I usually just use wire marker). After dropping it once or twice, I found it to be very durable. It still doesn't work with batteries, but I am always near a 120V source. If I had to make one change, it would be to have some sort of clip you can secure the AC adapter wire in, b/c sometimes the plug falls out while I am using it. If it worked with batteries, I'd give it 5 stars. Still a great product, though.

I'm really upset with the product as you didn't provide me any charger attached to it...nor I couldn't find any link in Amazon to buy...if you could provide better options especially in buying these kind of products you could have provide with all necessary accessories...Thank you
