Initial Use: Make sure to turn off the car and open the door for at least 15 minutes for the ECU to shut down entirely. Turn off the interior lights and remove the door courtesy lights to avoid draining the battery. You can disconnect the factory connector from the accelerator pedal, but you will have to remove a plastic panel with a couple of screws to access the area. Once you connect both connectors, there is a double-sided adhesive on the back of the PEDAL COMMANDER bracket. Before you attach it, take a screenshot of the number on the PEDAL COMMANDER device, as you will need it for the app if you want to use it there instead of on the device itself. It's clearer on the app, and there's a feature where you can pay for anti-theft if you want. Installing it was not too bad if you don't mind doing some gymnastics. The app works well enough to see the modes. I didn't see any error codes on my car, so be sure to do the initial step above. It will work right away, and you can press the buttons to change the four driving modes and the eight levels of response for each driving mode. I had tried all of the driving modes briefly, but found that city mode overall is the best for daily driving. I have a Camry SE for reference with no standard ECO, NORMAL, or SPORT driving modes. Eco mode feels sluggish, almost like defeating the purpose of buying this device. Sport mode is great if you set the level to like -2 or -4. This is nice for highway merging or spirited driving. Sport+ is excessive and is mostly just an on and off switch. I have city mode set to -2, and it is perfect for my driving. It gives me a linear and smooth response that is accurate but not too jerky. I can apply adequate throttle pressure and merge onto the highway without feeling like I'm going too slow. You can add +1 or +2 for the city if you want more fun, but don't want to go full sporty. If you want to improve fuel economy, you can, but it depends on your driving style. I drive normally but with a little more focus on efficiency. Be aware that this throttle response will apply when you are reversing, so just be careful. But overall, city mode is the best for most people without being sluggish or hypersensitive. You can adjust the levels and change drivings while the car is moving, but don't change it while you are applying the throttle, so the vehicle doesn't freak out. If you take your car to dealerships for services, remove the device from the bracket and hide it underneath to ensure they don't call you out for making a modification they claim will void the warranty. Overall Impressions: It is a little expensive, but it is essential for a smooth and responsive throttle response without any delays, making the driving experience much better!

Well after a couple of weeks I finally decided to unplug and go back to factory for a day. Holy smokes now I really notice the difference. Money well spent . In combination with full exhaust and K&N intake makes a huge difference. Run on Sport 2daily. For fun on the freeway put it on Sport + 2 and that thing moves and wants to just keep going . Hits 120 in 5th without noticing. Be careful and have fun!! Easy install and easy to tuck or mount . App is convenient. Haven’t paid for any extra.

*Honest Review* I'm coming from a 2008 V6 Camry. I now have a 2019 Camry xse with a 4-cylinder engine so there's a big difference in the horsepower with the car. the 2019 Camry XSE itself is great to commute in, but the engine is so laggy and slow. I have to rev my car up for it to even start moving half the time if I need to pass someone on the highway. The pedal commander has changed my driving experience significantly! It has made this little 4-cylinder engine more responsive. This product is not perfect by any means, but it has helped my car accelerate faster. there's still some lag here and there which is why I said the device is "not perfect", but it has made my driving experience in my 2019 Camry 10X better. I wanted to sell my car because of how underperforming the engine is... I would recommend this product if you needed something to add some responsiveness in your car. I typically leave the pedal commander on the sport mode at 4. If I want the car to be more responsive, I'll put it in sport+ mode on 3 sometimes 4. installation was very easy. I recommend unplugging your battery first with the car door open and then hook everything up to avoid codes on your dash. that's what I did and everything worked fine

We bought a 2021 Toyota Camry SE for our teenage son, but I've ended up driving it on a regular basis rather than put short trips on our 2009 BMW E93 M3. Having driven BMWs for the last several years, I was dumbfounded as how horrible the Toyota 2.5 throttle response was - even in sport. In doing some basic google research, I found this advertised and decided to give it a shot. The Pedal Commander greatly remedied this throttle lag problem. Sport Plus is insane. I've actually chosen to use City, Plus 4 for my daily driving. If I sold Toyota Camrys with 2.5 engines, I'd have these as a purchase option. They sell a Pedal Commander for my M3...can't imagine it doing more than what BMW already has programed, but you know I want to give it a shot now. A total game changer with the Camry... skip the CAIs and exhausts unless your just looking for more sound. This is all you need.

Liked my 2024 XSE before. LOVE it now! Response is entirely different. And, I finally found a use for those little storage boxes to the left of steering wheels.
