Great economical choice!
I've been very happy with these. They are quite economical, and work well. They sound is clean. I'm regularly using with both a guitar, and with a Hi-Z drum module output. I have occasionally used to hooking up a regular computer sound output to the mixer. It worked well for this too.

Stereo. Cheap. Near perfect.
The only downside? The metal (but NOT plastic!) enclosure is a bit flimsy. It hit cement one day and got a little ding. Bummer. Plastic might have cracked. I got a dinged corner. But other than that? Flawless. Good sound, plenty of bells and whistles, and most importantly for a gigging keyboardist: STEREO! For the money, it's astoundingly good. And that metal enclosure? I wouldn't take it on a world tour, but it's perfect for the gigging weekend warrior like me. Highly recommended.

Good DI, quick and easy attenuate switch fix.
Works very nicely as a passive DI. We use both single and double models. My most recent purchase exhibited the flaky attenuator switch reported by others. I disassembled the DI (4 screws) and soldered the contacts in the 0dB position as that is all I have ever needed. That works perfectly and took about 5 minutes. I was puzzled that older boxes I had worked perfectly but seemed identical. After soldering the contacts I looked at the DI construction. What I found was that the end of the circuit board with the attenuation switch is held by the 1/4" jacks that are also soldered to it. The nuts holding the jacks to the case appear to have been abruptly and excessively tightened. That twisted the circuit board and stressed the legs of the attenuation switch that are soldered to it. That in turn likely distorted the contacts in the switch making the switch erratic. Loosening the nuts allowed the circuit boards to straighten out and relieved stress on the switch legs. Gently re-tightening the nuts held the circuit board in place without twisting. I had already soldered the 0dB connection so cannot be sure that straightening the circuit board to relieve stress on the switch solved the erratic attenuation switch problem. But, if you get a box with a flaky switch it is easy to do from the outside and only takes a few seconds. When loosening the nuts watch the switch, if the circuit board is twisted the position of the switch in the hole in the case will change as the circuit board straightens. Re-tighten the nuts gently until both are firm then add enough torque to lock them up so they do not loosen. Watch the switch position in the hole in the case to be sure it does not shift when you re-tighten the nuts. If it moves that would indicate the circuit board has again twisted. These inexpensive DI Boxes have worked perfectly for us over more than 100 gigs on guitar, bass and pedal steel. Getting instruments simply and inexpensively into an XLR snake reduces stage clutter, noise and signal loss from long instrument cable runs. It would be a 5 star if I had not had to fiddle with the attenuate switch.

Simple, useful and inexpensive
I bought two of these because they were inexpensive and worth a try. They have proven to be useful for a number of applications. Over the summer I used one between my portable PA and a couple of rechargable powered monitors. The attenuation feature came in handy as one of the monitors has a very hot input, so padding it down gave me more control over the volume. At church I've used them to run a stereo keyboard mix to the main PA so the dual channels is nice. I have been satisfied with the sound quality, but I haven't done any head-to-head comparisons with other units. I use mostly for my keyboards that are putting out a line level signal and where I have a lot of tone control available so I can't comment on how the DI might color the sound of a direct guitar, bass or similar instrument. Considering that a top rated professional DI costs 5 times more, these are a great value for the part time musician.

Budget Option, Budget Quality
This is pretty cheap - on of the switches is really weak with poor signal - it's okay for the price, but if you want something that will last a while, maybe go with something else.

Flawless in 2 years' use
I have experienced only good things with this box over the 2 years I have gigged with it! Even the owner/sound-man of the local pub wants to get some for his stage after seeing mine! So far (knock on wood), flawless! And the sound quality seems just fine...
