Intex tubes are the way to go!
These Intex tubes are phenomenal! Much higher quality than other run-of-the-mill tubes. Flawless air retention with zero leakage. Plenty big enough for an average-sized adult to be comfortable. The mesh center uses a very strong material that holds up well. I am very impressed! I also have an Intex air mattress (bed) and it is THE one and only air mattress I’ve ever owned that actually holds its air and never leaks. So it’s not a surprise that their tubes are equally as high quality. My ONLY complaint about this Intex River Run tube is that the rope/string is made of a slippery material that doesn’t hold its knots very well. Once you tie the knot, the knot comes loose pretty easily. Intex needs to use a better quality rope/string to keep the knots intact. I may end up replacing the rope/string with something better. But the tubes are definitely here to stay! A+++

Durable, Comfortable, and Perfect for a Relaxing Float
This is one of the better-quality floats I’ve used, especially for a lazy river or pool setting. The build feels strong and durable, and it's less likely to pop or scrape against rough edges like some of the thinner tubes out there. The material has a premium look and feel, and it inflates quickly without much hassle. I really like the built-in cup holders and the backrest, which make it perfect for lounging for hours. The mesh bottom keeps you cool while still feeling supported, though I do wish there were an option to remove the mesh in the center for a more open, ring-style float when needed. I have had to add air after using, so I'm not sure if its leaking air somewhere or if it was just not closed correctly. Overall, it’s well-designed, reliable, and definitely worth the price. I’d buy another one.

Made my first river run so much fun!!!
These were great for our river run. Mo issues floating on the river, easy to get in and out of (even in a sling). They were comfortable and the hole easily fit my small frame and my husband’s larger frame. These were cute and good quality products overall.

Perfect for icy/snow tubing!
EDIT: Took a risk and got one for snow tubing. It was perfect for our ice/snow mix. Not sure it would be good on just fluffy snow. Thick enough to withstand a stump here and there. Big enough for two little kids. Highly recommend if you want a good snow tube!

Very large and well built tube
After reading the many reviews and seeing these as well as the River Rats (also Intex) at various lakes and rivers, I decided to pick one up. I also picked up the River Run 2 for 2 adults. The River Run is a high quality medium duty River or lake tube. The build is thicker and tougher than a regular swimming pool tube and you notice this right away. The other thing you notice right away is the size. This thing is big for one person. I am 5'7" and when I lay in it, my hands can barely touch the water. When in a lake and drifting, it would be nice to be able to steer a bit with your hands in the water. So for me, maneuverability is just not there. If you want to just float, it is great. Unlike the River Rat, this does not have an empty hole in the bottom of it. It has mesh which is nice for me, but the River Rat was more popular in our group, especially with the grand kids. Where this was real popular for myself was the inflation and deflation of the tube. It uses a standard large nozzle like you would use on an air mattress to sleep on. It is simple and fairly quick to do, especially when you see the size of this. To deflate, you simply unscrew the valve assembly and force out the air. It could not be made simpler. The reason for 4 stars was due to being unable to maneuver this in a lake with your hands. I am taking a paddle out this next week as we camp again and seeing if it is doable. To some, this may be a non-issue but for myself, when I see an area of rocks coming closer, I really do not want to just drift into them and to find out the hard way that one rock may be just pointy enough to POP the River Run. The River Run though does have two air chambers for safety. 7/19/14 UPDATE: Just got back from camping and I would upgrade my rating to 4.5 stars if I could. We used it at the lake and i brought along a double end paddle we use for an air filled 2 man boat and it worked decently for maneuverability. Hey, it was not perfect but I was able to go against the current and a light wind to get back to the area we were at after drifting a bit. I did get a bit wet from the paddle as one end is down in the water and it was still a reach to get paddle in the water far enough to do any good, which left the other end was up over me in the air dripping water. This was not a big deal as with the River Run, you are still getting wet as you float where you sit. :)

Perfect Float for Relaxing on the Water!
I bought the River Run float for a recent trip to the spring and it exceeded all my expectations. First off, it was incredibly easy to inflate — I used a standard electric air pump and had it fully blown up in under 5 minutes. Deflating it was just as simple, thanks to the quick-release valves that let all the air out fast with no hassle. One of the best features is how easily it connects to another tube using the built-in connectors. It made it super convenient to float alongside friends without drifting apart. Perfect for group river trips or just lounging in the pool with a buddy. Comfort-wise, it’s amazing. The mesh bottom keeps you cool while still letting you relax, and the backrest gives just enough support without being stiff. It even has cup holders, which were a nice bonus for holding drinks while floating. Overall, I’d highly recommend the River Run float to anyone looking for something comfortable, durable, and easy to set up. Great for rivers, lakes, or even just relaxing in the pool

Perfect for water fun.
I purchased two of these inflatable tubes for a weekend houseboat trip on Lake Shasta. My only regret is that I did not purchase four of them. This was a last minute decision/purchase. I ordered them on Sept. 3; received Sept 6; and left for the houseboat Sept. 8. In my youth, I loved water sports but at my age, you will not catch me on a set of water skis or anything else that gets pulled behind a boat - those days are over for me. So I was thinking the only way I might enjoy the water is to lazily float around on a tube. So this is how I fell in love with these tubes: we got our houseboat and headed towards a cove. The lake water temp was in the upper 70's and the outdoor temp was high 90's. The tubes easily pumped up with a foot pump (we did this on the way to the cove). Once anchored, I tossed the tube in; gently lowered myself into the tube; adjusted for the headrest; then asked someone to toss me a bottle of water for the cup holder. I laid my head back on the rest and I can only describe this event as close to heaven. Sun setting over the mountains, cool (but warm) water on my hands and feet... I could have lived on that tube. The bottom of the tube has mesh material so the water comes through the mesh. My butt got wet but everything else stayed as dry as I wanted. My husband got into the second tube and had someone hand him a scotch for his cupholder (multi-purpose cupholders). We tied our tubes together with the enclosed attachment hooks(?) - whatever they are called. I don't think I hooked them correctly because they didn't stay. There is a rope that feeds around the tube and we tied a very long rope to the tubes and boat to keep us from floating too far. My 2-year old grandson is afraid of the water but he happily sat on my lap while on the tube. These tubes are very reliable and sturdy. My 30ish-year-old son and his wife were also with us which is why I wish I had purchased four tubes. We had to take turns. I couldn't get my 80+-year-old parents on the tube but I plan to next time. Our trip would not have been as pleasant without these tubes. I think I'm going to go ahead and purchase two more tubes now even though the water season here is about done. For the price, these tubes are well worth it.

So Comfortable and Perfect for Relaxing on the Water
The INTEX River Run 1 Inflatable Floating Lounger is an absolute favorite for lake and pool days. It is easy to inflate and feels sturdy once it is blown up. The built in backrest and mesh bottom make it super comfortable for lounging and staying cool while floating. The cup holders are a nice bonus and the grab handles make it easy to carry or tie up with friends’ floats. It is made from thick material that feels durable and holds air well even after hours of use. This float makes relaxing on the water effortless and fun. It is comfortable, strong, and great quality for the price. Highly recommend for summer days outdoors.
