Makita 199140-0 1 Metre Guide Rail

I hummed and ha'd over buying one of these for ages. I have a lot of Makita power tools including a circular saw, jig saw and router but have never used a rail like this and have tried to make do. I've thought of all sorts of cheaper alternatives - use a spirit level (but clamping it can bend it), use laminate flooring (but that's the same cost and is brittle), buy cheaper (but then have a potentially inferior product and a nightmare on getting adaptors etc.). In the end, I bought one, and some clamps...separately. I'm so glad I did. The rail is strong, weighty, but not heavy and VERY good quality - exactly what I expect from Makita. It's way better than I thought it would be and is an investment that will last me a lifetime. A few things on the design, the clamps DO run along the underside meaning you can clamp very close together. the rails on the underside are strong and look like they will stand up to abuse. The bottom has three separate rubber runners that help hold the rail in place. These are softer to prevent marking wood or countertops etc and even if they wear out, you can buy replacements. The top rail is deep for your adaptors and gives confidence the adaptor (and therefore your power tool) won't jump out during use. There are also holes either end that I've used as hook holes for hanging the rail on the wall when not in use. These do fit together if you want to extend the length and they are such good value on Amazon I'm thinking of getting another straight away....you do need the connector kit although non OEM products are also available on Amazon and are a lot cheaper - If I do buy them, I will review in due course. So....I wasted a lot of time trying to think of ways of replicating one of these more cheaply....I wish I had just gone and bought one earlier. Top product.

Great quality from Makita . Sometimes easy have a shorter rail than the standard one.

Used with a 120V Makita plunge/track saw. I combine several of these (I have 4 different lengths) with the Makita splice strips to get a variety of lengths. I have used up to 16 foot runs (for long perimeter board cuts on a composite deck picture frame style install) and obtained laser-straight cuts that look very good. It goes without saying that shorter lengths even easier as there is no splice. One thing to note is that these come with soft sponge rubber strips on the bottom that are what hold them in place ... they work amazingly well not needing any other adhesion (at least on Timbertech boards). On the long runs I still added a bit of Gorilla tape just to be sure I didn't get a shift, but that was probably overkill. I bought the Makita bags to carry these, and protect them, and they work well. However, the ends are quite sharp and subject to impact denting - so I also 3D printed some end caps that I put on as well just for good measure (a variety of different ones are available on the various STL free sites). These end caps can also be purchased pre-made online if you search a bit. Combining these with the Makita (fit Festool as well apparently) plunge saw largely eliminates the need for my circular/table saw, and in my opinion is definitely a lot safer.

Ho acquistato questa guida da 1 metro per abbinarla alla sega ad affondamento Makita, e devo dire che si è rivelata una scelta azzeccata. La compatibilità è totale e l'accoppiamento con la sega è preciso, senza giochi o slittamenti di sorta. Durante l'utilizzo la guida rimane ferma esattamente dove la posizioni: non scivola, non vibra, non si sposta di un millimetro. Il risultato sono tagli lineari puliti e ripetibili, proprio quello che ci si aspetta da un accessorio di questo livello. La costruzione ispira fiducia: materiali solidi, profilo ben rifinito, nessuna sbavatura. Chi lavora spesso con pannelli o tavole apprezzerà la differenza rispetto a soluzioni di fortuna o guide di qualità inferiore. Da valutare l'acquisto di un secondo binario per chi ha bisogno di lavorare su lunghezze superiori al metro, dato che i binari Makita si collegano tra loro in modo semplice e preciso. Consigliata senza riserve a chi ha già una sega ad affondamento Makita e vuole sfruttarne al massimo il potenziale.

Die Schiene ist wirklich mega. Ich benutze sie für eine Bosch Tauchsäge. Ich habe zwar bereits eine Bosch Schiene, jedoch fehlt mir für die Boschschienen ein winkelanschlag. Man bekommt ihn beim besten Willen nicht. Daher habe ich mich für die Makita Schiene erstmal als 1m variante entschieden. Mein Amazon 30€ Winkel funktioniert zu 100% und die Schiene ist mit der Bisch Säge Kombatibel. Ideal. Des WEiteren sind die Antirutsch matten unter der Schiene top, Verarbeitung top. Also klare Kaufempfehlung.
