Irresistible Italy Jigsaw Puzzle 1000 Piece by Vermont Christmas Company

Beautifully detailed picture and excellent color variations make this puzzle very workable and fun. While fairly challenging, it was doable because of the excellent cuts, colors and patterns.

I love Vermont Christmas Company puzzles. This one was no exception. Had fun doing it, just lovely when completed. Pieces fit perfectly and I have to say, I have never been missing any pieces from this company. I also love the variety of shapes of individual pieces. The artist, David Maclean does a fabulous job and puts a lot of detail into his works. Thanks, VCC

Love a good puzzle, especially a travel themed one. This was a fun puzzle with gorgeous colors and scenery. Definitely worth the money.

I start with a rating of five stars and remove stars per the following criteria, to arrive at a total star rating. - Missing pieces. minus 3 stars - Either no replacement available for missing pieces or non-responsive “available” customer service for missing piece replacements. minus 3 stars - No included poster or the puzzle picture on cover of puzzle box is too small to be useful. minus 1 star - Included poster or cover image colors do not match the color on the pieces. minus 1 star - Adjoining pieces are found pre-connected (no randomization of the pieces before packaging). minus 1 star - Puzzle pieces do not come bagged inside the box to prevent piece leakage during shipment. minus 1 star - Puzzle pieces are found that are not cut separate from each other (dull cutting blade). minus 2 stars - Puzzle pieces have edge burs (dull cutting blade). minus 2 stars - Piece artwork has separated from the piece base but found in the box. minus 2 stars - Piece artwork has separated from the piece base but NOT found in the box. minus 3 stars - Piece artwork has visible scoring or tool impressions from poor manufacturing, handling or setup. minus 3 stars - Too much gap spacing between adjoining pieces that puzzle glue may not tighten up. minus 2 stars Analysis: There were no missing pieces. There is no included poster, but the puzzle picture on the top of the long oblong box the puzzle box was large enough to suffice as a poster to aid piece location. The color was nearly faithful to the actual piece artwork. There where three sets of connected pieces found in the box - minus 1 star. The pieces came bagged inside the box. Each piece was found to be cut separately from each other. There were not edge burs found. No artwork had separated from the pieces. No pieces were found with any scoring or tool impressions. There was somewhat of a noticeable gap between the connected pieces, but puzzle glue will usually pull the pieces together and this will minimize the gaping. I give this puzzle an overall rating of 4. I would definitely buy from this manufacturing again. BTW, the puzzle is described as with pieces of thick quality cardboard. They are cardboard but are thin pieces similar to the thickness of paper puzzle pieces. These are not like the thicker cardboard pieces that Buffalo produces. I do prefer the thin cardboard over the thicker ones since the thicker ones leave box residue. Also, I find that the thicker cardboard layers come more easily apart than do the thinner cardboard piece layers. Overall this puzzle is quite easy to quickly assemble. The distinctive variant objects in the artwork make it easy to quickly identify distinct locations. On a scale of 1 to ten, with ten being the most difficult of puzzles to assemble, I would give this puzzle a 5. For those pros looking for a challenge, this puzzle may be too easy for you, although the artwork is beautiful and definitely makes a fine addition to my collection of wall art. I have purchased and assembled many puzzles in the past and I can say that Vermont Christmas Company is now my favorite puzzle supplier. I would definitely recommend buying from this manufacturer.

Working on puzzle now! Beautiful Italian scenario! Hard puzzle as this has a little bit of everything, all types of flowers, brick sidewalks, mountains, sky colors, lamp posts, bistro and outdoor cafe with table & chairs. Great to work on as I nurse at home with a broken leg!

Puzzle addict here ;) I do 2-3 puzzles a month and this is the funnest one I’ve done in a long time. Bright colors with clear lines, and random cut pieces that were fun to work with. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

We do puzzles all year and this was one of the most enjoyable ones we've done in a long time. The Italian bistro scene is charming and offers distinct sections to work on (i.e. the lovely sunset, the cobblestones, the tables and chairs, the background buildings). There are some uniquely shaped pieces that make putting it together a little more fun. I like that Vermont Christmas Company is an American company and manufactures here. They've got plenty more like this and we'll definitely be ordering more.
