So far I have had okay luck. I have lost 5 pounds and certainly see and feel a difference in my sugar cravings. In addition, I have allowed myself to have 1 treat per day and this is working well. I am also eating less. I use the product in the am with 8oz of water, 1 cup fruit and have something with a little fat to go with it for example a piece of whole grain toast with a little butter. I like others noted a craving for more veggies vs carbs and I am very happy about that. With all products, people need to remember that nothing will be a miracle and that losing weight requires a life style change. I make a green drink or tomato soup using a V8 type drink as the base. I add the Appethryl to the juice and a tablespoon of olive oil for the healthy fat they recommend in the directions. I also add a handful of cilantro and parsley, a clove of garlic, a large sprinkle of cayenne (I love the taste too), and two tablespoons of ground flax, as well as homemade hot sauce--this is to rev my metabolism since I'm not getting any younger! I blend it all up and Voila! I have it in place of a meal. I got the latter from Woman's World Mag--except for the flax seed, that was from a friend. If I heat it and eat it as a soup I also add other fresh veg, (often raw) like broccoli, and a half can of bamboo shoots and sliced water chestnuts for the crunch I'd usually get from croutons. This is the best thing I've ever found! It works, is quick and easy, and NO side effects. I used it as a smoothy meal replacement yesterday and was not hungry for hours. Last night I used it with a meal and did not snack all evening and did not eat as much at dinner. It is important that you add some kind of fat in your smoothy or in your meal. I used liquid coconut oil in my smoothy.
