Works well for Xfinity
I had done my research and compared many other modems and this one seemed like the best value, and it is. It works well out of the box and quickly picked up an IP address from Xfinity. The admin console goes away for some reason once the modem has an IP address, so I'm not sure how to update its firmware and I assue that's automatic. This model is officially supported by the Comcast Xfinity network and I just had to give them its serial number and MAC address, which are fixed and written on the outside of the box. Combined with a Mikrotik router, I am glad that I control my own hardware and don't have to pay rental fees anymore.

1 month to live........
Purchased in February 2017. It worked great up until 25+ day mark where the modem failed to establish a solid connection. I assumed it was the fault of Comcast so I harassed them thinking it was their fault. The tech came after 4 days (would have been 3 if the tech didn't flake out on me). The tech tested the line and determined that the modem was as fault. Side note: The modem itself seems to run rather hot, I wonder if that was a contributing factor. Long story short: works great for however long it lasted but wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I will be returning this modem tomorrow. Update: Comcast is full of it..... Turns out the cable run to my house is failing and needed to be replaced. After cable run, modem worked great!!!

Not a bargain
Could not get it up and running even with the help of a Cox customer service rep. Returned for a refund.
