The size is perfect as I needed something smaller than the large purses I usually carry. It is larger than a small satchel; sort of a medium-sized purse. It looks like genuine leather. There are even feet on the bottom. The hardware is beautiful, accents the tan color and adds to it's "leather look." The three zipper pockets are perfect; I usually keep valuables (wallet, etc.) on one side and regular items in the other side. Fits my wallet, etc. with no problem. The outside zip pocket is good for mints, pens, a pack of smokes. However, there are certain times a girl wants to be a bit more basic and that is where this purse comes in. This purse is small but can hold more than just a lipstick, mirror, and cell phone. It has two nice sized pockets with zippers and one of the pockets also has a small interior zip pocket. There is also another zip pocket on one side of the exterior of the bag. The purse comes with a shoulder strap that I wish you could make a bit shorter but that really is my only complaint. The bag is simple and plain but appears to be made well. There are little feet on the bottom of the bag that will offer some protection. It looks like good quality but the zipper compartments are very narrow. It's difficult to put my hands inside the bag and find what I need because its not that roomy.
