Perfect for lightly dirty shoes or sandy sandals.
I've had the old wire and brush version for years, but wanted something not quite so aggressive. Bought duo set so we have one of these at back and front. Perfect for lightly dirty shoes or sandy sandals. Easy to hose off. Since bristles are not as aggressive as the old style, these may not clean off caked-on deep tread red mud, but for Florida living where sand and muddy leaves are standard, these are perfect. I place them out in the sun before the door mats, so sand gets brushed off before we get to the door mat. They've stayed flexible and sturdy. Since they are rubber, they do not slide around on the cement.

Had it 4 stars because haven’t had it long enough to see how it will hold up but it appears good quality. Have choice of rubber area or stiffer bristles.

It's ok
I got this to try to scrape mud off my boots after doing barn work. While it may be wonderful for medium use, it really doesn't work for the heavy, caked mud from the massive mud slogs we've had this summer. The brushes are not very stiff and the rubber scrubbies are short, so not very effective. Good for sand and dust but get something stronger for heavy duty.

Deep cleans even the grooves in my work shoes.
Cleans deeply into the grooves of my shoes. The bristles between and on the outside edges help take the dusty dryer dirt off the bottoms too. When I saw the rubber nubs I was skeptical if they would work but am SO pleased with this. I will probably buy another one for the front door and for my daughter who has a homestead. Excellent product!
