If you got a 50lb cable then you have 68kg. If you only got up to 40lb cable then you have 50kg

Anyone know the width of the ankle straps and can the take a lot of pressure from a bigger person

The ankle straps are about 4inches in diameter, when closed. They fit my ankles fine and I’m not exactly a small person. As for pressure, Mine do take a bit of a hammering, and they are still working fine.

Would these be suitable for my teenage son who wants to start working out
