Review: Good ID badge holder - I am a Pilot and use this to carry a small number of ID cards. I originally started off with a specifically made ID card holder. That held two cards just fine and worked for years. But Now I have a number of cards to carry. Four to be exact. So the old card holder was not working anymore. Then while on a trip I saw someone using one of these. So I ordered this one from desertcart with the intention of trying it out. It works great and even addressed a problem my old ID card holder had. That was allowing food crumbs to drop into the top of the holder. Since this one has a lid that closes secure, food bits are no longer an issue. My local airport requires me to remove my ID badge from any holder when presenting it at security and this holder makes that task easy. It holds all four cards I need securely and could maybe get five or six total in if needed. It feels a tad bit heavy compared to my old ID holder, but I guess that is to be expected. My only complaint is the included neck cord was too short for my 6” 3” frame. So I made a new, longer one to use. People need to calm down and look at the value proposition here. If it was $45 I'd expect a 5 year warranty. It's $7, I feel like the usable lifespan is more than adequate. BTW, because I use an employee ID card to log into my work computer I am pretty sure I open and close this thing at least 20 times a day along with my regular purchasing of stuff using my credit card. That means I've opened and closed this thing about 9000 times in 15 months until the latch finally gave it up. Not bad for an inexpensive item. ************ I've been using these for years, I'm on my 3rd one. I used to get sand in my old wallets because I go to the beach with my dog a lot. These will hold about 6 or 7 credit cards or ID cards , I currently have 5 cards and it leaves a little room to fold up a small amount of cash (3 way fold). It keeps the sand out and I imagine that it might float but I have never tested that, lol! They last me about 2 to 3 years until one of the hinge ears breaks and then I get a new one. Thanks!** A: No, but you can take the key out of the fob and carry just the key in the case. That's what we do when we go to the pool. I leave the fob in the car and just put the key in the case.
