Malco A60 Sheet Metal Scribe

Arrived promptly and well packaged. Made legible markings on sheet steel. Accurate and a lot easier to use than a tape measure or scale. Provides a replacement scribe refill as well. Useable for up to 12 inches from edge of sheet. The only challenge is to keep the scribe perpendicular to the guiding edge for maximum accuracy. Its sturdy, easy to adjust, ergonomic and well made. Recommended.

This is a handy tool to have if you do sheet metal work, especially for marking bend lines. I will admit I don't do a ton of sheet metal work, but I do enough that having a marking tool to scribe was something I thought I could benefit from. I do CNC plasma cut and bend sheet metal on both a magnetic brake, and a press brake. I've used this tool to quickly mark lines during post-processing, and it helped speed up my jobs. I like that it uses a screw as the scribe, and includes a couple extra. Nothing fancy here, just simple, and cheap to maintain. It's built well and gets the job done.

This makes quick work to mark out your sheetmetal. The sheetmetal screw is a nice touch. The tip last a long time and it stays put. The marks are visible and accurate. It makes it better then using a marker. Especially when its raining or snowing.

Works as it should makes laying out a bunch of the same piece very simple and fast, also love how its just a sheet metal screw for the scribe part quick easy and cheap to replace well thought out. instead of trying to put a point back on that small little area just grab a new screw and keep going.

Every Sheetmetal layout person should have one . I have 2 and my coworker has 3 .

I had one for about ten years before the hook wore away. new one is amazingly aceturate. I'm getting more of these as gifts :)

I got two of these for my husband who works sheet metal. One for his work tool box and one for the home shop. The quality is quite good and he's very happy with the tool. He's kicking himself for not buying one sooner, for some reason we thought they would be expensive! Very very happy with these and the price is very attractive!!

Love this thing, it’s literally my favourite tool, but Malco, why don’t you have knobs for sale to replace the cheap ones on the scribe??? Would be super handy to order a bag of knobs. Literally. They break All. The. Time.

Item works great but was delivered damaged. The know to tighten the tool was cracked and broke off pretty much immediately. The tool itself is great. I'd have returned it if not needing it for work
