This worked perfectly for replacing the trunk latch in my 2007 BMW 3 series convertible (e93). The original rubber trunk release latch from 2007 in my car started completely melting away and making a sticky mess due to years of exposure to the dry heat (AZ). I’ve had this installed now for over 4 months and the rubber has not melted yet and it still looks, fits and works great. Very satisfied with this replacement so far, and it was far cheaper than the OEM replacement part from BMW.

Worked right out of the box. Installation was as simple as clip-n-play. Use and feel like the original OEM part.

This part fit exactly as advertised. Some videos will tell you to remove the inner trunk covering but this is not needed. Gently pry old piece/rubber and rock gently. Pops right out, connect plug and pop back into place. Very easy and far less expensive than replacing from BMW. I noticed that when I first put it in place it did not seem to work and I felt I did something wrong, fear not, car needs to be turned on so that it recognizes the new switch. Literally a 5 min job for less than $20. Had i taken it to the dealership or other mechanic I am sure it wuld of been $150+
