Review: 2 year old loves it! - Really helped prepare my little boy for his first trip to the dentist and he still brings it to us to read now. Review: Lovely book - My daughter loves this book and she pretends to play dentist all the time now. It helped her to understand who a dentist is but when we went for checkup she still didn't want to open her mouth. But I can't really blame the book for it,she is only 2yo and quite shy in a new environment.

Good book
Got this book to read to my daughter after she got upset and bit the dentist at her 1st check up at the dentist! Just had a 2nd visit and there was no biting. I've got a few books in this series and i like them all. This one explains well in words what happens at a kids dental check up. I've only given 4 stars though because some of the flaps have things like wind up joke teeth behind them. I'd rather have seen a closed mouth opening to a wide mouth for the dentist to look into.

Great for giving toddlers an understanding of what to expect.
My son loves this and helped him to understand the process of going to the dentist and what would happen there before he went for his first visit. Because of COVID we hadn't been able to take him when his first teeth came through and it took an age to get him an appointment when we eventually could go meaning he was already 3 with all the usual fears and anxieties about things like this. The fun nature of the book with the flaps and moving parts meant he was actually looking forward to his appointment and getting to go up and down in the chair. He enjoyed it so much he wanted to immediately go back! He still reads this a lot and engages with us relating what's in the book to his experience which is brilliant. I would definitely recommend this and the others in the Big Steps series.

Great book to introduce dentist to little one
This is a wonderfully illustrated and informative book to introduce little ones to the dentist! It also gives them an idea of what the dentist might look like and what to expect. There is interactive lift/flaps pictures on pages. There is also some handy tips for parents. Definitely a great buy โบ๏ธ

Again, again, again....
My 18 month old granddaughter could not get enough of this book. I'm hopeful that it will deter her from biting the dentist when she goes for her first visit today.๐ค
