A Must-Have for the Modern Home Theater
For years, users have had to compromise between input switching and output splitting. The FERRISA 4x2 HDMI Matrix finally solves this, offering professional-grade flexibility in a compact, consumer-friendly package. This device is the nerve center your complex A/V setup has been waiting for. Performance and Versatility (5/5) The core functionality of this matrix is flawless. Supporting 4K@60Hz (HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2), it delivers pristine, high-bandwidth video quality without lag or artifacting. What truly sets it apart is the 4-in-2-out matrix mode, allowing me to simultaneously send different sources (say, a PS5 and a Blu-ray player) to two separate displays (like a 4K TV and a projector). The Game-Changing Auto Downscaler (5/5) This feature alone is worth the price of admission. If you run a mixed setup—a high-end 4K TV and an older 1080P projector, for example—most switches force both displays to the lowest common resolution. The FERRISA's Auto Downscaler intelligently converts the 4K signal to 1080P on the fly for the lower-resolution screen, allowing the 4K display to operate at full capacity. This eliminates the headache of having to manually change settings every time you switch rooms. Superior Audio Control (5/5) Audio extraction is often an afterthought on these devices, but the FERRISA makes it a priority. The ability to independently extract audio from either output via both Optical (SPDIF) and a 3.5mm stereo jack is fantastic. This means you can keep your main display audio running through your HDMI eARC setup while simultaneously routing pure audio to an older soundbar or dedicated headphone amplifier. LPCM, DTS 5.1, and Dolby AC3 support ensures compatibility with high-quality sound systems. Final Verdict From its durable, heat-dissipating metal chassis to the super responsive IR remote control, every aspect of the FERRISA 4x2 unit screams quality. It is widely compatible with every modern source I tested—from PCs and streaming boxes to the latest gaming consoles (PS5, Xbox). If you need to manage multiple 4K@60Hz sources across two different displays without sacrificing resolution or audio quality, the FERRISA 4x2 HDMI Matrix is the best tool on the market. It's a top-tier performer and an easy recommendation.

Reliable, great performance, very good value, I really like this switch
I'm very familiar with HDMI matrix switches, having owned them for many, many years as a very heavy user of this particular type of equipment (family home, not professional setting). When my (different brand) original one died of old age, I bought a bargain box to replace it. We soon found that this bargain box had several problems, including failing to pass through audio on at least two separate sources, plus poor IR signal rejection from other remotes, and interfering codes that shut the box down. I searched for a new box and found THIS current Ferrisa switch. I am extremely pleased with the performance of this switch! It not only solves the problems of the cheap switch I bought, but it out-performs my old switch, as well. The box is dang-near perfect so far; I cannot find anything wrong with it, and there is a whole lot right with it. The box switches fast between sources, it switches reliably, it rejects other signals (which means that I can use it with my IR extender just perfectly!), and it passes through all signals with accuracy. I have two (2) completely different spec TVs connected to it (an LG traditional HDTV and a Sharp Roku HDTV), as well as four (4) varied HDMI sources (a TiVo, a DVD player, an Amazon FireStick, and a Google Chromecast). Audio is routed through the main TV path to a Bose box in one of the rooms and on-board in the other, but I could route audio from the switch if I wanted to -- a nice backup feature. The IR repeater I own lets me switch from both the living room and the kitchen, with the box receiving the IR repeater signal perfectly and responding immediately. The indicator lights on the box itself are bright enough to see, but not so bright that they interfere with viewing in a dark room, like some other boxes do. The on-board source switching buttons are a great backup to the remote, if I ever need to use them. Overall, I have to say that I'm really pleased with this switch! It was worth every penny, and I learned my lesson buying cheaper switches. The price point of this switch is very fair for what you get, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Overall, this is a solid and reliable HDMI matrix switch
The FERRISA 4x2 HDMI Matrix Switch has been a great addition to my setup. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do—smoothly switching between multiple HDMI sources and outputs without signal loss or noticeable lag. The picture and sound quality are excellent, and having 4 inputs with 2 outputs gives a lot of flexibility for different devices and displays. Setup was straightforward, and once connected, everything worked reliably. I really appreciate how convenient it is to route different sources to different screens without constantly unplugging cables. I use this to switch between a firestick, playstation and media box, to send the picture from the 3 different devices to a tv and a projector. you can watch the same thing on both or different things on both of the devices simultaneously. it is great That said, the remote feels cheap, and the buttons seem delicate, so I handle it carefully. Also, I do wish the indicator lights on the front of the switch would dim when not in use. They’re quite bright for their very small size, which can be noticeable in a darker room. Overall, this is a solid and reliable HDMI matrix switch that performs well and offers great functionality. Despite the minor design quirks, it’s a strong value and I’d still recommend it to anyone needing a versatile HDMI switching solution.

Very easy
Bought this matrix for my son. I’m a semi retired home Automator. Used to AV Pro Edge matrix and distribution amps. Wanted to try out 1st, make certain it works. Currently have NVIDIA Shield Pro, Apple TV 4K, Sony PS5, and Fire TV. Connection was easy and intuitive. Had to reboot Fire TV (probably got confused). Able to display a 4K@120Hz on A9 OLED through PS5. While running Apple TV on another display. Usual 3 seconds to sort out EDID issues when switching (even my AV Pro Edge matrix does this (cost is 10X more, 24/7 Tech support, with overnight replacement if original fails, and finally: 10 year warranty). Read reviews about matrix being counterintuitive. Was not my experience. Power supply is about as cheesy as they get. Don’t anticipate it will last, but easy to replace. Didn’t try analog output, but Toslink outputs Dolby Digital. And pass through plays Dolby True Digital. All in all for the money; not bad. Edit…2 days out: 1st day no issues. Second day; Issues. Matrix began losing sych when in distribution mode (one input into 2 displays, both 4K). Lost sync would occur ~ 20-30 minutes. Steadily decreasing to about every 20-30 seconds. When displaying 2 separate inputs (Ex: NVIDIA Shield on channel A and Apple TV on channel B), matrix seemed to work flawlessly. Did all usual: reboot etc. know HDMI cables are good (test with Meridio pro tester). I could trade in for another matrix and possibly waste 2-3 more days?? Or drop ship an AV Pro Edge 42X to my son. I’m doing the later. And this matrix, as though it had wings, goes back to Amazon.

Product description is lying
Doesn’t actually do 4k, disappointed that it was stuck at 1080p on a 4k monitor

Seller replaced defective units with revised product
- 1/30/2023. Revised back to 5-star for product and service. Seller reached out and offered an upgraded 4k 60hz HDMI Matrix 4X2, support HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 switch for me to try. My initial impressions are very positive and device is so far working as expected without anomalies. As of this writing, the upgraded unit is not time-tested but I am optimistic especially given the proactive service and support provided by seller. - Reduced to-stars after device began faulting: Bought in July 2022 and was initially very happy. All functions performed well and switch was working flawlessly for all HDMI and audio connections from multiple sources and to multiple devices. Over time, however, device became faulty on HDMI2 input - would not switch reliably. Picture was flawed but audio switched okay. Replacement unit (under warranty) received in December, but by early January, audio input was not switching correctly - optical source was not to be heard yet aux (analog) audio switches cleanly. Switching back and forth between HDMI input ports with remote clears problem...but issue keeps recurring. Initially very happy, but now very disappointed in product. Since build seems solid, I imagine item is being manufactured with inferior/cheap components - that's my guess.

Solid quality
Worked nicely with my out of ordinary setup! I have two 4k monitors and this thing is driving them on 60Hz with HDR without problems. It decodes audio to optical but the most you can get with optical is DTS 5.1. In my case I have Arcana HD Fury device output going into the matrix, while eArc Arcana output going to Sonos and Dolby Atmos works very well. In my setup I also have extra HDMI switch switching between PC cable and AppleTV and having three devices in sequence does not affect video quality at all - same 4k 60Hz with HDR works well (ApplTV/PC -> IoGear HDMI switch -> Arcana eArc extractor -> Ferrisa matrix -> Monitor) The following sequence of transformations also works very well (4k 6Hz HDR with two monitors) for my Macbook: Macbook -> Thunderbolt cable -> Belkin Connect Thunderbolt station -> two thunderbolt to HDMI transformers (Belkin) + one cable to USB switch -> Ferrisa HDMI -> Monitors One warning to save you 8+ hours of troubleshooting in future. In this setup cables quality matters a lot. I tried few brands and had few sleepless nights before I discovered some cables just affect entire system and matrix and made setup unreliable. In the end I identified that thunderbolt->HDMI cables were the cause of my problems, I ordered few more Belkins instead of the brand I was using and everything started working flawlessly

Fails to switch properly about 10% of the time
TL/DR: get hdmi splitters and hdmi headless with this or switching will be a pain. I ordered and received "FERRISA 4x2 HDMI Matrix Switch" that has 4 input to 2 output and is supposed to allow switching either of the 4 inputs to either of the 2 outputs. When the input changes, the computer thinks you unplugged the monitor and it resets its displays. I have 3 computers and 2 1080p monitors. The first computer is linux with dual output using input 1 and 2 (h1,h2) on the matrix. The second is win7 with 1 hdmi into matrix 3 (h3) and 1 vga (v1) directly into the second monitor. The third is win10 with 1 hdmi into matrix 4 (h4). Because h1is split off to my tv before the matrix, it works with no problems. However, h2 and h3 cause the matrix to take about 10 seconds to switch if it even decides to switch. The real problem comes when I want to see h4 with any other screen. in order to get h4 on either output, I have to first set o1 to h4 then o2 to h4 then I can switch either h1 or h3 to either output but h2 rarely finds its way on to either screen. I figure if I get hdmi splitters and hdml headless emulators, I can trick the computers into thinking the monitors have not been unplugged. If you are looking to get something like this, I would recommend paying a little more and find one that has headless switching.
