I really like cycling and music so wanted to combine my two passions. Now earphones, of whatever type, are not safe when cycling as clearly you need to hear the road environment you are travelling in. So a speaker had to be the answer. After searching the net, I came upon the Boompods AquaBlaster. With its supplied mount, it sits on my bikes stem and I can either stream music from my Amazon Prime, also other streaming services work, or play music that is stored on my phone. If I want to change what I’m listening to I can just press the large button and ask Alexa for what ever takes my fancy. Sound quality is superb for such a small very reasonably priced unit and if you like your music loud you can really crank the volume up. I have been known to cycle for over 4 hours and the battery has had no issues with this. Not used it for anything apart from cycling however with its supplied karabiner & leash you could hang it from a wind surfer, yacht or anything sporty. It would also be suitable in any wet environment as its water proof so the beach or by the pool. More than happy with my purchase and will be looking at the other products in the Boompods range.

Bought the Aqua blast which is crap bad sound quality and not loud enough whereas the soundclip is smaller, cheaper and way better. Sound quality is amazing, it’s loud and way better. I will no waist my time buying Aqua blast, had to return it.

BOOMPODS AQUABLASTER This is a modestly priced Bluetooth Speaker which has a vague connection to some Amazon Alexa properties. GOOD Once connected with Bluetooth it is an effective mobile speaker. The sound is good and appears adequate for most uses. As an Alexa device and being battery powered it can be used anywhere inside or out of the home. It can be used in a bathroom or other wet facility but cannot be submerged in water. With Alexa is also has a radio facility. BAD The instructions are ABYSMAL. They consist of a small pamphlet with ambiguous and misleading diagrams and virtually no text. I could not find any useful information on the BoomPods website. You are not told how to switch it on or what indication there are that the unit is on or off. Pairing is not properly explained. There is a ‘Triangle’ sign on the speaker. The precise use of this button, which seems to have useful but random functions is NOT explained. ALEXA function 1 – it is not stated in the Sale Information nor in the very poor instructions that, the Alexa function is ONLY available when the device is close to its Mobile pair device (in practice this appears to be a few metres). ALEXA function 2 – Initial instructions can ONLY be issued after the ‘Hi’ button is pressed and this has to be done each time. This means that a user has to be close to the unit and able to reach that Hi button. Basically it is not a voice actuated device like a normal Alexa unit. ALEXA function 3 – The Alexa function will only work when the (BoomPods) Hi) is OPEN. I also discovered it would not function properly when close to another active Alexa device CONCLUSION I wanted a speaker I could use in the shower (or other hostile environment) which had a radio facility that I could use. At first glance the Aquablaster seemed to satisfy my wishes. However, as explained, these uses are only available when the described limitations are clearly understood. I’m now happy with my purchase albeit not with having to spend several hours to explore these limitations.

Good sound for a budget portable speaker, easy to setup etc but doesn’t directly connect to Alexa setup in your home via the Alexa app so remember that. Returning due to this and one star missing due to this.

Great sound from such a small speaker. Good down the Beach and easy to clean and use.

First of all to claim this product comes with Amazon Alexa is a little misleading, it in fact connects to Alexa via the Alexa app and the Boompods Hi app using your mobile phone. Which in my mind makes the whole waterproof feature of the product meaningless because you would need your phone within range at all times. The video where the windsurfer is using the speaker is very misleading, as unless the windsurfer has his phone on him the speaker just would not work. The speaker was quite easy to connect to the apps (at first) and despite the misleading Alexa problem I was prepared to keep the product as a shower speaker and leave my phone outside the bathroom, which is what I did for a day or two. However, on day 3 the speaker stopped connecting to it's own Boompods app. I deleted and re-installed both apps and updated them too, but still wouldn't connect. I spoke to both Amazon and Boompods directly who could not offer me a solution other than to return the speaker. It is also worth mentioning the sound quality of the speaker which was to be honest rubbish, very tinny.

I have alexa in my living room kitchen and bedroom I chose this for my bathroom to complete my alexa system I'm made up with this as it has alexa capabilities for such a small price I'm hoping for many years service out of this I love alexa my brother told me about alexa a few years ago and I've loved it ever since I'd rate it highly over apple and google play it's great value with Alexa for less then fifty pounds that's why it's a great product it's better with it being a speaker to be connected to Alexa by the app

防水でアレクサに対応しているスピーカーが他に見当たらないので、その点高く評価したいと思いました。 誤解を招くのではないかと思った点は、これはエコーのようなスマートスピーカーではなく、Bluetoothスピーカーにアレクサを呼び出す機能がついたものだというところです。携帯のアレクサアプリ専用スピーカーといったイメージでしょうか。 前提:本製品がwifi接続では無いのでBluetoothで接続する携帯又はタブレットが必要（なので親機側がネットに繋がれば屋外でもアレクサが使える） 出来る事:アレクサで再生可能な音楽をかける、ニュース等のスキルを使用する等 出来ない事:音声でアレクサを呼び出す（ボタンを押す必要がある）、呼出等通話機能 お風呂に入りながら「アレクサっ音楽をかけて」って呼びかけたい人はもう少し待つ必要があるかもしれません。

スマホに専用アプリを入れてブルートゥースでスピーカーとスマホを接続して使用します。 そのためスマホとスピーカーの距離が離れると使えません。（アレクサ内蔵のスピーカーではありません） 防水なので自宅の浴室で音楽ストリーミングやラジオを聴くのにちょうど便利です。 このサイズのスピーカにしては良質で大きい音ですが、細かい音量調整はできないので最小のボリュームでも少し大きいです。 防水でAlexa対応の製品は他にないのと、デザインも気に入っているので満足して使えています。

耐水性は非常に高く、屋外や浴室で使用する上では問題無いと思いますが、音質は一般的なスピーカーと比べて劣ります。

The volume and clarity are very good. I use it on my bicycle handle bar. The attaching system they include is very easy to use. I also use the Boomblaster in my garage where I work out sometimes. It easily and automatically connects to my phone's bluetooth.
