It's actually not bad. At the time I purchased and based on some of the reviews I read, I didn't have much of an expectation from this and thought as long as it serves my purpose, well and good. But this is a good quality product. And compared to some other ones on Amazon, this holds the sandpaper more firmly due to its locking mechanism. Definitely a good purchase.

Nice product, effective and saves time It has nice locking mechanism which grips sand paper well compared to clip type sander. It's made of plastic, grip is also good. Not made for rough use. Decent quality product. Got one sand paper pre installed !!

I bought this tool specifically to help me with manual sanding. If you do not use a power tool such as a sander or angle grinder with a sanding disk, and like to sand wood by hand, this is a great tool to increase your efficiency. The size of the tool is large enough to hold half a sandpaper. Fold the sandpaper in half (vertically), and tear it to create two identical pieces. The sander tool can take the half sandpaper. It has four knobs which you need to rotate by 90 degrees, and the base plate will come loose. Now place the base plate in the centre of the half sandpaper (sanding side down), and carefully fold the two edges over onto the base plate. Once you have folded the edges onto the plate, place the sander back onto the plate. Make sure the edges of the sandpaper are fully pressed down by the sander. And then turn the knobs by 90 degrees again to secure the sandpaper. You are ready to sand! I sanded about a dozen of mango wood strips (from the mango crate) and with a 120 grit sandpaper, I was able to finish the job within a few minutes without tiring myself. The tool allows you to exert uniform pressure over a larger area as compared to holding the sandpaper in hand. Also it protects your hand from any chips or splinters. Overall, it's an extremely helpful tool for sanding large flat surfaces.

This is very sturdy and a well made product. I use it for sanding my walls. However, it is somewhat troublesome when changing the sandpaper. It tends to slip when working fast. The paper also tears if somewhat force is used. I use it for sanding and removing paint, and it works well.

Very handy tool for sanding ,light weight,prefer one in smaller size too.also suggest to make in first quality plastic and more sturdy for durability ; useful sand paper holder .I use for carpentry hoppy application, painters also can use .
