Such a good looking mailbox - a great quality and a functional design...
Very nice, spacious, and solidly built mailbox. In addition to the box itself, you get a privacy insert that blocks the cutouts (it is also black so no "window" effect and magazine hooks (neither of which we installed). No mounting hardware but we were able to easily find what we needed - depends on your siding. Only problem was that the lower mounting bolt holes aren't accessible through the grid on the front, but still doable, sort of barely. Looks great up, and the size is nice and the fact that it is vertical, makes the process of mail removal easy for you. We left for a few day trip and the mailbox handled it all pretty well :-) Finally, a nice touch - a rubber stopper - you do not hear the loud bang every time your mailman is opening/closing the lid. I got many compliments from my house guests - it is a clean simple and classy looking very functional mailbox.

Love it
I ordered this mailbox Friday night and it was delivered 2 days later on a Sunday. Couldn't believe it. I agree with the reviews I read before buying it, the quality is more than expected and much better than what you see in the big box stores. As the other reviews mentioned, it doesn't come with the screws to hang it but a small price to pay for such an attractive and well built product. I would highly recommend it, great size and it does come with the magazine hanger and they do include the screws for that. Go for it, you won't be disappointed. Finally, a product that is better than expected. How often does that happen?

Sturdy, attractive mailbox
Great, high-quality mailbox! Dissatisfied with the cheap, stamped steel, glossy-painted mailboxes I found at the local hardware stores, I found this one online. It is made with heavy gauge steel with an attractive matte finish. The square cutouts on the front are simple & classy; much nicer than a cheap-looking gold medallion or plastic eagle. It has plenty of room inside for lots of mail. It's great that you are given options: a privacy plate can be installed inside so mail cannot be viewed through the holes. Also, installation of the paper hooks at the bottom is optional. There is a rubber piece inside the lid so it is quieter when the lid is closed. It was a little more expensive than some I've seen at the store, but well worth the money. It is exactly what I was looking for. It came without mounting screws, which was no problem for me.

Looks can be deceiving.
This mailbox should only be purchased if you plan to install it out of the weather, say covered by a porch or indoors. It leaks badly, wet mail every time it rains. Even with the front holes covered with the steel plate, it still leaks. There are no drainage holes in the bottom to allow the water to drain out, some water may run out where you install the magazine holders below the box, but that does not even come close to letting the water out. The box requires installation by experienced people, no instructions or mounting hardware is included. This is not an easy install. Not recommended.

Great Looking Mailbox
Super Heavy Duty and looks Great. I'd suggest drilling a third hole in between the top two since it was hard getting the bottom two screws in. If you do this be careful not to make it too tight since it will affect the top piece from closing (if it does, loosen the screw). If you decide not to put the inner piece in, you can see the mail inside, but it is not very noticeable. The white gets dirty very quickly and that shows. Pros: VERY heavy duty Cheaper than mailbox.com that it ships from Looks awesome (can paint the inner piece for contrast or to match rest of house) Cons: Doesn't come with screws Screw holes are hard to get to Bottom rungs are not so easy to screw on due to the small holes. White gets dusty/dirty easily

Very sturdy mailbox. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is that the privacy insert does not stay on with the two-sized tape provided. (Perhaps this is because my mailbox gets full morning sun and is exposed to the elements on an uncovered porch.) I am going to buy some more tape, put on longer strops to increase the bond strength, and see if I can get it to stay on. Other than this short-coming, it is extremely well made for the price and looks great. I installed it without the rungs that came with it (to hold a paper or magazines) because my letter carrier just puts everything in the box. Holds a good bit of mail without the lid gapping open- even on days when magazines arrive! Would strongly recommend.

Great looking and well made mailbox
We had an old wooden mailbox but when we re-sided our house, we changed siding color so I decided to get a new mailbox. Because we have fiber cement siding, I got a handyman to mount the mailbox because I don't have the right tools. He had it up in a matter of minutes and it's been great so far. We had a heck of a rain and wind storm and it did not budge. No rain got inside even though I did not use the privacy panel. The lid doesn't slam, and the box is large enough for mail, magazines, and even small packages.

Sturdy mail box with ample room for large-envelope mail
Box is heavy-gauge steel, very sturdy. Paint job is excellent. This replaces a lighter, smaller box of ancient vintage that was on the wall next to our principal door. You will need an offset screwdriver if you use screws and the mounting holes inside the box. Don't forget to mount the magazine holder brackets (included with box), if you plan to use them, before you mount the box on the wall. Come with a painted "security panel" that you can mount behind the slots in the front, if you don't want mail in the box to be visible from the outside.
