SiliSlick Green Handle Kitchen Knife Set, 5 pc

My husband and I both comment EVERY time we use one of these knives how much we love them. This knife set has so much going for it. First and foremost is the sharpness. My husband collects knives, folders up to machete type. He says he thought he was always putting a good edge on his knives, something it took a while to perfect, until we got this set of Silislick knives. They are the sharpest knives we have ever come across. We are super careful, never just laying them in the sink or drainboard. We make sure we hand wash them carefully, dry and put the protective cover (which each knife has) back on before replacing it into the drawer. This is not a negative of the set, if anything it is a plus. I never want to lose that edge, it is amazing to cut thru things as easy as these knives do. The reason we bought a 2nd set? Because we like them so much. If anything ever happens to any of our first set, we want backup. It is that simple. This sounds like a really odd review, I have to say, but it is the truth. I have never raved about a household product quite this much. But then, I never had something so simple as a set of kitchen knives give such a different experience than I had ever had before. They are comfortable, that rainbow titanium finish is classy, each knife has a hard plastic blade cover, specially shaped for each different blade. The knives are balanced well, easy to clean with just hot water and a little soap. While the price has gone up a few dollars since we last purchased a set a couple years ago (give or take, did not look up exact date). The knives are the same good quality that we have come to know and really like. The company is very good about letting you know your item has shipped and emails you with contact information, in case you have any questions or concerns. I have not had to contact them, but I would be willing to bet they are great. Their product speaks volumes.

UPDATE 8/2025 (10 YEARS LATER) : NEW MAGNET, SAME KNIVES. POSTED THE SECOND PICTURE, STILL AS SHARP AS THE SAY THEY CAME OUT OF THE BOX. ONE IS MISSING FROM THE PICTURE, I WAS USING IT SNAPPED THE PICTURE IN THE MOMENT MY KNIVES CAME EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED BUT WERE THE WRONG COLOR. I EMAILED GEMS10021 AND TO MY SURPRISE GOT AN IMMEDIATE RESPONSE FROM ROBERT ASSURING ME THAT HE WAS NOT IN CONTROL OF ORDER FULFILLMENT BECAUSE IT WAS AN AMAZON FULFILLED PRODUCT BUT THAT HE WOULD GET AHOLD OF THEM 1ST THING IN THE MORNING AND GET THE ISSUE RESOLVED. HE DID EXACTLY THAT AND MY KNIVES WERE IN THE MAIL THE NEXT DAY AND HE EVEN HAD A KNIFE SHARPENER SENT TO ME AS A THANK YOU. THEY ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED, GORGEOUS AND SHARP. I USE THEM ON A DAILY BASIS WITH NO HESITATION. THEY CUT WITH PRECISION AND EASE THROUGH WHATEVERS ON MY CUTTING BOARD AND HAVEN'T LOST THEIR EDGE YET. I KEEP THEM DISPLAYED IN MY KITCHEN BECAUSE THEY'RE TOO BEAUTIFUL TO KEEP IN A DRAWER. EVERYBODY ASKS AND I ALWAYS DIRECT THEM TO EXACTLY WHERE I GOT THEM. I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. Not going to lie… Out of my hundreds of purchases on Amazon over the years there are few I was more hesitant to purchase than this knife set. For the price they have to be complete junk, right? Absolutely NOT the case. The blades are sharp. The titanium coating is beautiful and makes them dishwasher safe. The plastic covers are very solid. And my wife loves the rainbow coloring on the blades. I am a knife enthusiast but mostly for hunting and survival knives. I have never really cared about kitchen knives even though I have spent a lot of money on them to get the ones that have the best blades and best reviews. These are as sharp as high end German knives I own and they hold an edge just as well. I will update my post later if I have any problems. I have only been using these a few weeks but I put them through the paces to make sure the other reviews about them breaking were not true. I would rather one of them breaks in my hand and cuts me than having my wife to have to deal with that. I have chopped and cut through blocks of frozen food to put stress on the knives and make sure they are solid. I am pretty sure if they can handle that they can handle any food in the kitchen you want to cut through.

As of this writing I have used these knives for 2 weeks. I like the sharpness of all the knives, but can't comment on how long this sharpness will last and if they can be sharpened when or if needed. They are certainly cool looking, like they are from outer space ;-), with the otherworldly colors. Makes cooking more fun. I don't use the shields that come with each knive, but then I am very experienced in the kitchen. I respect my knives. I would recommend covering each knive if they are laying out on your counter all the time, as they do in my kitchen, especially if you have children. They are sharp, have an ultimate slick edge and can cut you badly so use caution . Better yet learn how to use knives correctly and efficiently. Folding your finger tips out of the way of the cutting knive. I bet there is somewhere on the web where you can actually learn how to cut correctly, how to position your fingers and how to properly hold the knive. I think this very important, especially when you own these exceptionally sharp knives.

Pros: The knives look awesome! So far the color holds up well even in the area around the edge of the blade. The blade hasn't rusted (many cheap knives do). These knives do hold up to being sharpened by an electric sharpener without workhardening or dis-coloring. They can have an edge put on them. Handles are easy to grip, even when covers in chicken juice... Yes. Yuck. Cons: These knives all very thin and semi-flexible. The blade doesn't run the length of the handle. The edge will not withstand impact (obviously these are not cleavers, but I had to put them through the ringer anyway). These are future concerns, but havn't caused any issues yet.

I have ordered these knives a couple of times. My first order was Feb, 2025. When first received, the packaging was torn, and unsealed. I asked for a replacement, and it to was torn, opened, and missing the sheath on one knife. When I called customer service, I was refunded and told to just keep the knife set. Ok for me! Well, I’ve used them 7 months now, and I love them. They come razor sharp and cut beautifully. I prefer to wash my cutlery by hand, but it does great in the dishwasher. I’ve never spotted any rust on them, ever. They sharpen easily, and I’ve not seen any nicks on the blades. My Sister loves them, so I ordered her a set recently. I’m pleased to say they have upgraded their packaging. This set arrived in a perfect unopened, well sealed box. This was a wonderful gift for very little money spent.

Oh MAN these knives are cool. Came out of the box nice and sharp... didn't even have to break out the sharpener for a single one! The plastic covers they ship the knives with are GREAT. You usually get some garbage piece of cardboard that shreds when you pick up the box. BUT NOT FROM SILISLICK NO SIRREE. The only negative thing I can think of is they say never to put these in the dishwasher... but hey I usually don't with big ol knives anyways. Certainly wasn't a deal breaker for me! And they just look great. I'm assuming the abrasive dishwasher detergents would probably take off that rainbow coating after awhile. So just rinse em off after you're done with em. ezpz.

Beautiful set of knives and they are very sharp. I was skeptical after seeing some photos and reviews, but these knives are great. Like any knives, you have to take care of them and make sure you are keeping them clean and dry. So far I have had really good luck with them and I have cut chicken, veggies and bread. The color of the knives are beautiful in color and really add a spark to my already existing backsplash.

I bought these for my chef kit then I started chef training in college and they work amazing. I have had them for over a year and they came with a sharpener included. Would 110% buy again if need be but the knifes are still in perfect condition as the day I bought them and I still use them everyday!!!
