OtterBox Galaxy S10+ Commuter Series Case - Black, Slim & Tough, Pocket-Friendly, with Port Protection

My trusty six year old Samsung Galaxy S10+ has been an impressive workhorse during its field days. It’s been put through all the paces - indoors, outdoors, purses, luggage, backpacks, domestic & international travel, grubby hands, pokey fingers, a few minor drops & splish splashes. Hyper sanitizing with alcohol wipes throughout the height of COVID. It’s now quietly semi-retiring as a backup device but looks as perfect as the day I got it. Not a scratch or crack. Why? Because it lived in an Otterbox Defender. That case absorbed it all admirably and eventually let me know, it’s time to let go. Removing the case felt like losing a friend, I couldn’t just leave it bare. It didn’t need a Defender at this point but I couldn’t commit it to a generic ultra cheap case. I was surprised to see that Otterbox offered a Commuter case for the S10+ at fair price, gave it a shot. I’m happy to say my old Galaxy is rocking fresh digs that does the job *just right*. It’s a slimmer profile than the Defender, less rubbery (little more slippery than I’m used to but not too slick) yet still protects. If this device were still in hard use, I’d definitely go back to the Defender. At this price point, it’s a good deal.

I can't find anything I don't like about this case. The phone without the case is too slippery with all glass making it easy to damage and unknowing that it slippedout of yourpocket. It was designed and engineered well. It has hard plastic on the back and sides. It has non slip hard rubber on the corners, button covers, a thin rectangular on the back for non slip and extends on the top and bottom face of the phone so the phone face never touches while on a flat surface. It has a tight fit which seals out dirt and doesn't easily fal off. It also makes it easy to hold. Like I said the phone is too slippery and thin which made it hard to hold on to. I really like this protective cover.

This phone case is sturdy, it fits the phone perfectly and provide great protection without adding bulk.

I put an Otterbox Defender on my last phone, a Galaxy S8. It was bomb proof but a bit bulky. As the S8 was a manageable size, I accepted the bulk in exchangefor enhanced armour. My new S10 is a larger phone and I really didn't want more bulk than the S8, so I put the Otterbox Commuter on it. It is a slimmer encasement, but clearly still quite robust. The result was that the S10 in the Commuter is only slightly larger than the S8 in the Defender. I'm quite happy to trade off a minor amount of protection for that. My only complaint- and it's minor - is that the hard plastic shell on the commuter is more slippery in the hand than the Defender's rubber shell.

I could keep going on forever about how impressed I am with this case. The design is amazing. Colour is amazing. Feels really good in my hands. Easy to hold onto (very good grip). The buttons are super easy to locate by touch and feel amazing to press. Love the texture of the entire case. Otter box is always the best bet for your money. I will buy the commuter case again for my next phone! Thank you Otter Box!!!!! LOVE
