I got it with a 12v led strip but it only delivers 8v if i measure the voltage right on the strip. i measured a 2a pull on 12v of the leds separately.

If you put a dimmer at input of LED driver, the dimmer will reduce the 12V voltage for dimming function, So you measured the 8v that is normal, it is means the LED driver started the dimming functional,

Will this work to power a ring video doorbell

Works on dimmable mr16 track lighting

I have a 12v track lighting setup (gu5.3 mr16 bulbs) in a condo I recently purchased. I wanted to have daylight bulbs, which I could only find in LED; I figured this would be better anyway due to lower power usage. Unfortunately, the original transformer did not work properly except at 100% brightness. Otherwise, it would make an extremely annoying buzzing noise. I struggled to find a 12v LED dimmable transformer that would fit inside the enclosure required until I stumbled on this. I was a bit worried it might not work as they say it’s only for LED strips and no info on compatibility with mr16 bulbs. Regardless, I gave it a shot and it did end up working great! It has only been in the unit for about a day, but I’ll report back should it end up failing.

Great- smooth on and off as well as dimming

Bought that a while ago for a living room LED pendant I made myself. Awesome driver as it lets your dim with a standard wall dimmer. Only one caveat - my dimmer eats a bit of voltage (Max is 102V or so) so I don't get to 100% brightness as in my other projects but probably 80-90%. But thats not the transformers issue but the dimmer. What I really like is the smooth on off function.
