Awesome Controller, unique look and flawless performance.
I have had many 360 controllers and let me tell you, Microsoft has finally found perfection. I have had this controller for months now and have seen no flaws in performance. I have read some people have had problems with the battery-well cracking or breaking easily. I would simply chalk that up to them not taking care of their equipment as I have never had that problem with controllers I took care of. The D-Pad has been improved as well as the rubber on the thumb-sticks. The D-pad seems to protrude a little more than the old ones did but that is not a bad thing. Its prominence makes it more accurate. The rubber on the thumb-sticks seems a little more concave than the old ones and also those 4 dots that usually wear down over time are gone. I think this doesn't make a huge difference but may seem slightly more ergonomic to some gamers. As far as looks go, the blue-lit home button is a nice addition and separates this controller from the normal green ones. Also I was skeptical when I found out most of the controller is translucent because I'm not a fan of seeing the guts of my electronics. However, the translucency of the controller adds even more character to its design and isn't an eye-sore at all. (On an unrelated note, I wish the Xbox One had stayed with this design.)

Breaking already - fount problem
The controller works and looks fantastic. The problem is the battery holder is cracking on both sides. Have only had for about 2 weeks. I will be trying to return. Definitely want another, hoping this is a fluke. Update 11-28-2012: I returned first breaking controller and got a second. After about 2 weeks it also is breaking. It seems to be a defect in the design where it holds the battery. This time I super glued together the cracks (as my son loves the controller and wants to keep it so badly). I hope the super glue works. If not we will probably tape on the battery pack just because other than this one issue, the controller is excellent. Ended up returning a few of these. They kept breaking at the battery pack. We were using a rechargable battery. Once we switched to normal batteries have not had any more problems. I guess this controller just can't handle the weight of a rechargeable battery pack.

Unique controller but overpriced
I bought this for my wife, without really going out to look around. The controller is fine, but I could heave saved myself some money by purchasing it at store instead.

Halo 4 Controller
I bought this controller as a replacement for my two other, much older, original white controllers. It's physically exactly the same aside from a rotating/changeable d-pad and a different texture on the tops of the thumb-sticks. Visually the controller is very different and actually quite good. It's a dark grey-blue color that's translucent, more-so on the top than bottom, and obviously has a blue LED. Smooth on the face and textured on bottom. Good weight, no cheap feel, very solid. The one really odd thing about this controller is that it cannot be charged by other devices any more, at least right now. I used to be able to plug my old controllers into my PC or PS3 to charge when not being used, with this controller the PS3 and PC both show it as an unknown device and cannot charge it. The XBOX has no issue with this so it's not an issue with the controller, probably just slightly different internal components on this model. I also use the Nyko battery packs on this controller without issue, just to cover that.

Nice looking controller
I'm pleased with the controller, it looks nice, has cool design on it, has blue LED lights around the home button, and is just a solid controller, just like all official microsoft controllers. the loss of star is the fact that these things are just way too expensive, very little goes into making these controllers, and the game industry charges ridiculous prices for extremely simple electronics, and then charges an extra 20 dollars on top of that if you want to actually have a battery... good quality, but for what they charge the thing should be gold plated, that isn't anything against the seller, it comes from microsoft. Still, that being said, official controllers seem to be the only ones that function well and thus make it worth the inflated price.

Halo 4 Limited Edition
When I ordered this I definitely didn't think I would write a review of it, I mean one official Microsoft 360 controller is the same as the next right? I have been using the Xbox 360 Wireless Halo 3 Spartan Controller for 5 years since it came out. I used that controller almost daily in that time and it has since worn down the analog stick ridges and is developing analog drift. With that in mind this controller is amazingly better it seems. I love the texture on analog sticks (probably personal choice) and the resistance on the analog sticks feels just right. It also has the special edition d-pad, however haven't used it much yet. Now for the looks. I didn't realize it was translucent until I opened it and it really looks good. The ring of light LED makes a nice glow inside. Also I somehow just like the blue ring of light better than green. It is just a really nice looking controller, not too much just different and unique. Is it worth it to get this if you have a perfectly good 360 controller already and spend the extra $15-20, probably not. However, if you are a Halo fan and like me your current controller is getting old this is definitely a nice choice.

Looks awesome... doesn't work
Bought this controller... looks awesome. Unboxed it. Put the battery pack in and started playing. After about 1 minute the battery pack disconnected from the controller. It was still on there, but the system popup said it disconnected, and the controller turned off. It is impossible to play more than 2 minutes at a time without the battery disconnecting. I have tried multiple different battery packs, and the same happens with each. Currently waiting on a response from the seller for the return/refund claim I filed. Hopefully I can get an exchange for a working controller, because I really like the looks of this one.

Der Controller ist an sich schön vom Design, jedoch hat er nicht sehr lange gehalten. Haben von dieser Art zwei bestellt und hatten auch bei beiden das selbe Problem. Meiner Meinung nicht für den täglichen gebrauch geeignet.

Very similar to the standard but the weight is slightly different also the Dpad can be used as a circle which is a must for some games like GTA and HALO. This is a comfortable gamepad that can take a beating. I bought a second one shortly after and some to gift for friends. Highly recommended.

Really happy I got it! Looks great and feels great. It's nice smooth and brand new. Definitely worth it, unless, of course, you find it at a better price.

Decent but gets squeeky after use just like the regular controller. The D-pad is a big improvement for me over the regular controller. This may be just because I'm use to the nintendo D-pad
