I suggest the 8 foot selection. If it is too long you can always coil and tie the excess. **Q: Will this allow us answer phone calls?** A: I use it to hook up a dvd player to my sound system. I bluetooth my cell to this system which allows my phone to ring thru the sound system. I have not hooked this cable directly to my cell and to my sound system. But I have headphones that I hook to my cell and Yes I can answer my cell thru the headphones.
