32 Key Melodica

I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for someone who enjoys quirky instruments. What a hilarious thing this is. I was honestly shocked at the quality of the piece. It sounds good (as good as a harmonica can sound, of course) and is durable. The best thing, aside from how low the price was, is the case the instrument comes in. It is perfect for easy traveling and storage. I was thrilled at this. For your personal inspiration, I highly recommend the YouTube video "Jurassic Park Theme (Melodica Cover)"

This inexpensive melodica is the first one I have ever played, so I don't know too much about the melodica, but I can say that this instrument is in tune (wouldn't know what to do about it if it were not), and it plays quite easily. I was able to figure out some simple runs and teach them to my kids who are just getting into music. They love it! My seven year old practiced some of the things I showed her for hours which would not have happened with an instrument that was not kid friendly and playable. It is so far proving durable as we have dropped it on our hardwood floors several times which is another reason it is a great "gateway instrument" for getting kids interested in music. Also, if your children are taking piano lessons, the standard piano keyboard enables them to transfer their musical prowess to a new instrument directly. The only downside to the playability is that it does require a good amount of breath to keep the instrument sounding which makes it difficult to achieve much dynamic nuance in terms of the volume, but I can't say that this is not the case with other melodicas as well. Like I said, this is the only one I have ever played. Very glad I purchased it. It was a wonderful inexpensive gift that I believe will pay dividends for years to come.

The price was great for such a nice product! It sounds great and looks great. It also shipped much earlier in the day than promised. Makes a great gift and is even fun to play when you don't know how.

My daughter plays the flute and I used to play the harmonica, so I chose this one to try a new instrument. The sound is actually pretty good and it comes with a well made hard plastic case which is a plus. If you are trying to get your kid to learn an instrument, buy a melódica song book for beginners. Pleased with the purchase.

Good instrument for messing around with. The harmonics are slightly out of tune, making octaves incredibly pitchy. This is expected with any melodica, but not necessarily to this degree. It's easy to play, and natural to hold. The mouthpiece, however, could be more durable, mine broke within the first month on me owning the instrument (nothing a little super glue couldn't fix). The added case is nice and lightweight, and makes this instrument a steal. For the price, this instrument meets my expectations and is a blast to break out at parties.

Went to a show and saw this so I ordered it before the concert ended. The tune is good, feels like holding a mini piano and flute idk how to make that sound better. I don't know much about instruments but this intrigues me. Easy to carry light weight. Takes some getting used to but it plays well. Size is like arm length give take.

My son has had his for sometime now and it's been perfect

I bought one of these, and I thought it was really good. I wanted a second one, so I bought a Yamaha, which I had to return because sounded exactly the same as this inexpensive one, but the highest D note was out of tune. I returned the expensive one, and bought a second one of this. Now we have two Melodicas, for the family jam.
