Do not buy this brand it is copper clad or copper coated whatever you want to call it but I was melting some with a propane towards doing stuff and it melted to nothing right away copper has a much higher melting point than that. It's aluminum on the inside. They lie as usual.

Love this stuff. It’s coated so it doesn’t discolor at all. It is soft and forms easily in my wire wrapping. I regularly have purchased 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 and 26 gauges over the last 4 years from this seller and have not once been disappointed. Thank you.

The enamel coating on this wire is extremely thin and seems to be compromised at some spots along it's length. I carefully wrapped 100ft of this wire around a soft iron core to make an electromagnet, and after finishing, I found that the winding was shorted to the iron core. This product is a safety hazard.
