Follow the soaking before use instructions!Wet sharpening is a messy process, but the end result with superior stones is well worth it. These are for use on your best steel, don't waste these on metal that wont show the edge quality these stones produce. Always clean the knife and stones between grits to stop cross contamination of the stones. flatten stones before use. I used the full set of 4 Chosera stones to finish the edge. These are a medium fine to extra fine stone set and will be as far as you need to go for a fantastic working edge on most good steel. There are only a few steels and knives that will benefit from the next finer stone set of 5000/10000.
