A: That's exactly what it is - a degreaser.

**Q: Can i use this on sti shifters?**
A: Yes.. its a good degreaser.. but for greasing you would want a thicker/more Viscous lubricant

**Q: Does this clean rust off chain?**
A: Degreaser is designed to remove grease. If the rust is light, just washing it with a chain cleaning tool, will brush off the rust.  If the rust is severe than you should consider a new chain.  But no, this product us not designed to remove rust

This is a great addition to the regular Muc-Off cleaner I use to clean my MTB frame/wheels. It’s easy to apply and does a great job of getting mud and other debris off the cassette, chain and crank. I apply it, agitate with a brush and hose off for a squeaky clean result. I’ve recommended to my biking friends and those who’ve tried it agree with me. I use it after most dirt rides and it only requires 3-4 squirts so hopefully it will last well and prove good value for money.

Easy to use. Certainly cleaned my chain, gears, derailleur, etc. Not a lot of foaming (?) and it didn't make anything look like new.
