This is a colorful dog breed guide with more dog breeds than I even knew existed! My 5yo loves dogs and wants to know everything about them. We’ve enjoyed reading this book together, and she has memorized large parts of the book to “read” to herself. She also loves to bring it to school and show her friends. It’s more informative than a lot of dog books, and as with all National Geographic books, it is very high quality.

We all loved this book. It has such great information on each breed and the list of breeds is quite extensive. The pictures are great and the language is simple enough for kids. It’s helping us figure out which dog breed is the best for our family.

My daughter is obsessed with dogs, so we got her this book for Christmas 2022. She has devoured the information in it and references it regularly, but after only 6 months the binding has completely come apart. She brought it to me today completely devastated. I sure wish they would create books to last...

We love it! We're trying to figure out what dog is best for our family, and the kids have been able to quickly turn and read facts about each breed that comes up in our conversation. Before this book they were all on iphones or the computer trying to research them. I like going old school and directing the kids to a book rather than electronics to learn. It's great with pictures and facts of every breed we've wanted to find.

Wonderful book with great photos and just the right level of detail. Recommend for age 7+.

This is a fabulous gift for any dog-mad kid. After purchasing several others that were nowhere near as good, I would definitely recommend it. Fab content, pictures, graphics, layout and so, so many interesting facts. My son and I look at it often and have learned loads already. We consult it whenever we see a dog of a breed we are not familiar with, or sometimes just for fun. Did you know the Leonberger was originally bred from crossing a Newfoundland and a St Bernard? I didn't!

Very nice book for the kids, they keep reading it, would say 7 years plus.
