Canon's HDMI cable was priced the way out of the ball park. This cable was reasonably priced and works perfectly. Can't ask for much more than that!I have had my smart TV for almost 2 years. I have never been able to get my amplifier to work with the TV. I purchased this cable, now all my components work with together. I can hear digital sounds from each separately. I was a bit concerned with other reviews complaining about the results, but I wanted to be able to do with my iPad what I frequently do with an HDMI cable to my PC laptop (basically use the TV as a monitor). I have been using it to train groups of people to use a particular productivity app. Works great, no issues. I have not experimented with having sound come from the iPad to the projector, but since it is HDMI I assume that would work as well.
