will this work with the ps4 gold wireless headset?

The Sony PS4 Gold Wireless Headset uses a proprietary protocol and not Bluetooth, hence it will not work with the HomeSpot Bluetooth Transmitter. Regards, ZT America

When it's connected to the dock, does the adapter turn off when the Switch is put to sleep? Or does it always stay on?

It always stays on, I realized that when I didn't turn off my Bluetooth headset and the light stayed on all night despite the switch being in sleep mode.
