Rock solid performer and exceeds expectations
This is sleeping ear bud nirvana. Before going into the pros and cons of these buds, I want to give a comparison to experiences with the GOOGODOQ Bluetooth 5 earbuds. I gave a very favorable review for the BT 5 buds as they fill the need for comfort, battery and isolation. After a year's worth of daily use, the thin wires finally started breaking and it was time for a new set of buds. When the BT 5 version was originally purchased, I saw these BT4.2 version and passed on it thinking it was more modern and a "newer" product. I'm so glad to have given these a try since these 4.2 versions are superior in practically every way. This is my second pair of 4.2 due to the robot vacuum sucking up the power cord and eating my first pair of 4.2 and tearing it up to bits. Listing of pros of the Bluetooth 4.2 version vs Bluetooth 5 version 1. If you have multiple paired items like iPhone and iPad, the sound will not skip. In BT5, if more than one item is paired, the sound has a studder every 1 minute and it is maddening. This really the number one reason why 4.2 is so much better than 5. 2. the voice "disconnected", "power on", etc. is much clearer and easier to recognize in 4.2. The 5 was a cheaper sounding mumble. This is really a trivial thing, but is a sign of increased polish and product quality for the consumer. 3. The sound is slightly warmer and has a better sound than the BT 5. Overall, I'd say the sound performance is considerably better with the 4.2 version. Don't expect high end or audiophile quality here. It simply sounds good and doesn't sound like a tin can or monotone drone. 4. The ear bud material is slightly more supple on the 4.2 which provides a more comfortable fit and results a much better seal in the ear. I don't really have any cons aside from it is defenseless from a hungry iRobot :-) Final thought: If you need sleeping buds that are easy to use, decent quality sound, comfortable fit, long battery life and most importantly, can drown out partner's snoring -> Get this one. If you were deciding between the Bluetooth 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 (this) version -> Get the 4.2 version!

I've now had 8 pair of these & despite being comfortable, they don't stand up to even gentle use.
Confession: I need to shut my brain off at night by watching comedies or documentaries so I can forget my day and fall asleep. My spouse wants it quiet. My compromise has been to wear headphones while I watch something on my Kindle, but they're incredibly uncomfortable and the wires get in the way. Even worse is falling asleep in them, and life is way too short for that kind of discomfort. Since I know I'm not alone in my fondness for leaving my day behind by watching TV in bed (and if you're reading this, you probably feel me and are part of my tribe), I HAD to find something more comfortable. And I did. I found a much higher priced competitor, but no way can I justify $200 for headphones. So I checked Amazon, read reviews, and found these. Even at $30, I was still skeptical, but my ears and neck were killing me, so I waited for a holiday and bought them as a gift from my husband (ha ha ha). They arrived quickly. They were packaged nicely - more nicely than I expected. They were easy to use and connect. The first night was a revelation: these are so low profile you can lie on your side with your head on a pillow AND NOT EVEN FEEL THEM. SHUT. UP. My neck didn't get tweaked from holding my head weird to accommodate my headphones. The sound is vastly superior to my wired headphones. And now that I can actually wear headphones comfortably while lying in bed, my viewing experience has improved tremendously. Are there any cons? Not really, but... after using these for over a week, sometimes it takes several tries to get these to connect to my Kindle that's 14 inches from them. Not a huge deal, because they do shake hands (last night it took three tries). The charging port is a bit tight for the adapter to fight into easily (it does, but you need to be really precise). Pros: I don't notice the small volume/power box at all, and I don't have any issues with the other small, in-line box that others complain of at the back of my neck (not at all), but I'm watching on my side. This might be an issue for people who are lying or resting on their back, but it's not an issue for me. For the price and performance, these are awesome, and for anyone using a meditation, brainwave, or hypnosis app - these will seamlessly integrate with your application and improve your experience. My fellow night owl TV viewers will appreciate the comfort and sound. I wish I'd have discovered these sooner, they're awesome, and I see a second pair in my future for traveling! ETA December 2022: My first pair lasted through about a year and a half of heavy use, and then they suffered a broken wire or connection that would cause one ear bud to work intermittently. I'd since purchased a pair for my husband who never uses headphones, so I've just swiped his. After using this brand and model long-term, I can say that the connectivity issue I'd originally complained about is a legit and irritating thing: I can be inches from my Kindle, and despite having been successfully paired previously and often, there are times these refuse to connect to my Kindle and I've (GASP) reached for my old wired headphones out of frustration and wasted time trying to pair, turning blue tooth off and on, and troubleshooting. It's my biggest complaint by far. This seems to be an issue that's strictly between this brand of headphones and my Kindle, as I can always seem to pair to my iPhone on the first try. Would I buy a third set? MAYBE. I use these often enough during the day to justify the expense for the convenience of not being physically tethered via a wired connection, but I'd probably shop around among other wireless headphones if I were replacing for nighttime use because the Kindle connectivity issue is an enormous problem when I just want to unwind. UDATE 01/04/23: So the set that I purchased for my husband in November of 2021 (just over a year ago) and subsequently swiped for myself has now developed the exact same short circuit issue as my first set. My 11/21 pair have had relatively little use as my husband never used them and I only commandeered them sometime around 11/22, so they were essentially brand new and unused. However, after only a month of use, they're now cutting out my audio stream intermittently which is incredibly annoying and distracting. I now need to either find a replacement or repurchase two sets of these. This is a bit of a conundrum. For the holidays, someone gave me a pair of wireless earbuds, but they're so uncomfortable that they're painful (and forget sleeping in them!). That gift experience made me more appreciative of the comfort these offer - these are REALLY comfy. However, if they only hold up for a month +/- of use, they're not very economical. (I currently have two pair in my cart with a 20% off coupon and am debating that purchase decision hard). I'm going to do some more research and see if there are other, more highly rated options available. If these were more durable and lasted for two years, I'd faithfully repurchase as I like to keep a pair on each floor of my home, in my RV for traveling, and even a set in my purse, but they seem to be designed to withstand only occasional use (and I'm not hard on my headphones, so this is disappointing!) If I decide to repurchase again, I'll update my review to relay how well the replacements perform. UPDATE 10/28/23: Well, I'm done with this brand and am currently looking for other options. I last purchased a new set last month, September 2023. That set is now fried and only one ear bud works. I checked my Amazon orders to see how many of these I've gone through since 2021 and it's been SEVEN sets. SEVEN. The manufacturer replaced one set (so I guess I've gone through EIGHT SETS) and made some comments about how these are delicate. Well, they're marketed as SLEEP headphones. For the record, I'm a very quiet sleeper - I don't toss and turn (in fact, my sleep app is always giving me a warning that I move very little through the night), so it makes zero sense why these don't last longer, but I can't keep sinking thirty + dollars a month into replacing headphones (actually, times that by two as my spouse also likes them, so sixty dollars a month for headphones is quite ridiculous!) It's a shame because these truly are comfortable and I don't see it to be too much of an issue for the manufacturer to switch to a heavier gauge wire, which would cure everything that's failing in this design. I tried to be a loyal customer because of how comfortable these are, but the cost compared to the incredibly short lived lifespan of these makes this completely untenable.

Bought them and the sound keeps cutting out of each ear. One moment both sides work, next second the left side cuts out and stops working for minutes and then the left comes back and the right does the same and sometime both cut out but the device is still connected to my phone. This was right after opening the box and testing them for the first time.
