Being a Math Tutor I always check different additional sources to help my students to be successful on the tests, especially based on Common Core. Usually I search Internet looking for Test Preparation information, and then compiling worksheets for different topics. It is hard work, because there is a lot of outdated information with different point of view on the same subject. I found almost everything I need in those books! Part 1 has a hundreds multiple choice questions which cover different topics, and Part 2 requires writing answers, which is much harder, and makes a student to analyze, and formulate his answer in proper way. Guessing doesn’t work! All the books are well structured based by days and weeks, which can help with the planning of studying. I started to utilize those books in my tutoring process, and I’m very happy with the result – it saves my time and effort, and I have big source of worksheets wit the answer keys in one place! I would recommend those books to parents of my students as a perfect guide to be successful on Common Core exams. I’d like to order the book Math 7th Grade Common Core Workbook (Part 1 and Part 2) in near future. Review: GREAT! - Just to let you know I am 6th grade now I forgot to write a review about this but anyways this is a very good book I like how it has a answer key so you can check if you wrong or correct and also when the whole book is completed there is a certificate you can write your name and cut out and hang it on the fridge.

Most aligned to state assessment question format I've seen!
I am extremely pleased to have stumbled across this book! As a teacher, I try to mirror a lot of my classroom instruction/questions to reflect those that are similar to what my students will see at the end of the year on their state assessments. This has by far been one of the BEST! I also like that this particular book has the multiple choice options that I can use in my classroom to get quick checks to see if my students are getting the correct answers. This also gives me a jumping off point if I want to borrow questions to make review sheets for my students. I can pull from different objectives and make a comprehensive review for my students to complete - just simply change up the digits!! I cannot wait to use this book this year and years to come!!

No Answer Key
This is a good book to help your student understand how some of their fast test could be like. I would suggest to stay as close to the area of what they are learning in school for lesson topic not get too far ahead. The only thing I was not thrilled about was there is no answer key, but they do offer web site information for lessons that is a help.

Good for everyday practice
I recommend this book (Argo Brothers Common Core Math Workbook Multiple Choice, 5th grade) for regular math practice and to help prepare for the common core tests. It provides 5-6 questions per page, which is a good amount for eveyday practice, and the contents are well-organized and easy to follow. In my opinion, you need to solve many math problems to master math and this workbook allows a lot of practice for problems that my sons are learning in school. I also bought a “Free Response” workbook also from Argo Brothers, so that they can practice different types of math problems.

Good Practice book with variety of questions
Good book with lot of spelling mistakes that create confusion. Couple of examples here - A. Week 1 - Day 1: Question starts with serial number 6, and last question S.No. is 11. However, answer sheet for the same Week 1 and Day 1 start with S.No. 1. (B) Week 2-Day 4: Question 2 starts with 2. 4(10,000) + 1(1,000) + 3(100) + 2(10) + 9(1)+5(1/10)+5(1/100). Which number below is one-hundredth of the expanded form above? This is confusing because question starts with "2.", and this is wrong. Question printing mistake. Good part - variety of questions and good questions. "Tip of the day" on end of the page is favorite part where it explains about how questions can be handled listed on the page. There are videos available as well that can be referenced to get the concept how to solve a question. Pattern and concept is important part in learning. This review is about 2017 Edition Part I: Multiple choice Math 5th Grade Common Core Workbook. Barcode #: 9 780997 994827 - Just thought to put this detail as well as sometimes reviews get mixed up with other.

I recommend this book for practice problems and getting prepared for ...
I recommend this book for practice problems and getting prepared for common core math. The layout is very convenient and organized for daily math solving problems. I am finding the book very useful in understanding concepts needed for passing the common core exam. There are problems provided for each day for 5 days a week, and answers are provided at the end of the book. A very useful feature is the "Tip of the day" which provides a sentence or two on vital concepts for solving problems. I highly recommend this book for any 5th grader who needs the extra practice to succeed.
