But I’ll be honest with you I was up and running in Ableton 10 live In literally about 5 to 6 minutes. I even watched a couple YouTube videos just to make sure I had it right. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but if we wanna look at this as a con here I would say it is. Primarily when I look at product focused items literally these are experience needs to become flawless it doesn’t even matter if you’re using different software, if you’re going to charge people money for something and this goes out to you specifically native instruments, they should be able to use it on anything they want. Now for those of you that are going to be using this keyboard, do not fear set up to integrate into your music software is extremely easy. No drum pads. But I didn’t get this keyboard for drum pads, honestly if you’re that broke and all you’re gonna do is focus on one tool, you’re a hobbyist. One of the emails will contain information on obtaining the Ableton license and downloading the software. **Q: Can you map stuff on this keyboard** A: Not really, the midi mapping is fixed and you have to constantly switch between "Track Instance" and "Plugin Midi"... This is not a keyboard that is user-friendly for midi mapping, it is only functional when you run Native Instrument's own plug-ins. Being a NI fanboy, M32 is first thought, and I was really happy about it. In the video attached, I wanna show y’all that even an OP-Z can bus-power it, so does my iPad Pro with GarageBand, if you are using one single cable without hub-adapter. The pressure sensitivity from M32 just gives these to mobile platforms another dimension, especially for OP-Z. Knobs are perfectly functional, you may be able to see me change pan and volumen with two knobs. However you cannot customize the CC message map of them. You can only change them during using them with computers, but the profile won’t be stored on the keyboard once the keyboard was removed. So that is like my Only complaint. Build quality wise, NI feel. Buttons are sloppier compared to NI S-keyboard or Maschine, understandably. But still very pleasant.
