It seems the spring inside the handle is too stiff placing unbalanced load on the lever itself. This makes the gap between the lever and the frame of the handle uneven. It's tough to make out in the photo but certainly noticeable when opening the door. It also forces the user to press from the bottom of the handle in order to open the door. Comes packaged somewhat creaky, some bicycle grease took care of this.
