I preferred this style over the ones that fit full body and the price was reasonable. Since my son-in-law is 6'4, this was also very helpful for his back when using it with his son. It was extremely helpful while we used it by helping us help him walk and also guide him and keep up with him. BUT, after only one month, while using the harness, one of the side straps came apart at the seam. Fortunately, I was able to break my grandson's fall when the strap broke and there was not a serious injury. I did contact Amazon and the service rep was very helpful in providing information on how to return it. I am currently waiting for closure on this incident. Please be aware though she is only 60 pds, so keep that in mind. As far as the the padded part that fit well. However a child bigger around or hitting puberty early it might not. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because we did not need to use it as much as we thought we would, so I don't know what the durability would be. It is adjustable to his size but the package states that the starting age for it is 16 months. In addition, I received a package that said Blue teddy bear but there was a black one inside.
