I was able to fit 19 credit cards / gift cards comfortably. Any more than that makes the wallet look a bit bulky, but it would still close. Also, a checkbook COULD slide into one of the sleeved pockets if necessary. My iPhone 6 also fits in both the zipper and button pockets, bonus!!My only complaint would be that it was a bit "shinier" leather than I had anticipated. Maybe I overlooked that in the product description section, but I thought it would be more of a soft, "worn" leather feel. It's definitely real leather, as it smells wonderful!On another note, I was pleasantly surprised with the ID insert pocket, as I was able to easily take my driver's license in and out of the pocket with no struggle. I have nearly given up carrying handbags after 2 episodes of frozen shoulder so I like a wallet that will also hold my cell phone. I can say that this does, indeed, hold my iPhone 6 plus which also has an Otterbox case. Granted, it would fit better without the case, perfectly in fact, but it DOES fit into the space although I am not able to snap that spot closed when the phone is wearing the Otterbox case. If I had a smaller case, it would be perfect. I will probably search for a safe case that is smaller. So, back to the quality of this wallet. It arrived beautifully packaged in a lovely inner box with the wallet in a dust cover. Some have written of the leather being "shiny" but I feel that it has just a nice "luster" to it. It IS quality leather, soft, supple, and with the lovely smell of real leather. The wallet has a double snap closure so you may make adjustments if it's fully loaded with cards. The zipper operates smoothly on the flip side of the wallet. It will hold bills and small amounts of change. I don't care to have much real change as the coins add weight. The interior of the wallet is well stitched and has 3 separate pockets underneath the spaces for cards. I'm sure you could utilize these spaces for paper currency, receipts or to even tuck a checkbook in. All in all, this is a beautiful quality wallet and the price makes it even better. I have paid twice the price for much less. The only thing that could make this wallet better for me is if it came with a matching detachable wrist strap. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Credit cards+cash+receipts+mobile+keys = one place = one wallet! *by R***V on Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2017* Absolutely love this wallet! I can comfortably fit in 20 cards ( credit cards+gift cards+national park pass+ etc etc) and one dedicated slot for I.D card. So it carries a total of 21 slots! That is a luxury. To be able to access any card that I may want at any time is a total luxury for me. I had gotten tired of using those credit card-cum-mobile phone holder thingys that lose shape(and hence as a result, the credit cards slip out and that entails another task of calling up credit card companies and cancelling the cards!). Also, this wallet has 3 open and 1 secure vertical space for storing receipts etc. There is one slot that comes with a zipper that can be used to keep the mobile phone. I was on a look out for something like this and grabbed this item during the prime day sales. The discount was not all that much (probably a 3$) but it propelled me to try this wallet and I am glad I did! I have added a small video that shows the card slots and place for receipts in the wallet.
