At the beginning of each session I have everyone roll a d20. The lowest roll gets the coin and can turn it in at any time for an automatic success (can't crit). I then flip it and if it comes up dragon-heads, the other players can roll again to see who gets it next. If it lands crest-tails, it leaves play for the rest of the session.In this regard, it serves ably and I am very glad I purchased it. High quality and fantastic craftsmanship.
