Perfectly good thermal paste. It's standard, I wouldn't use it for a high performance system, but for a normal laptop or desktop, it works great. I use it on my Thinkpads, and I've had no problems at all. For the price, a lifetime supply of thermal paste is worth it if you're working with a lot of computers.

Fantastic value. Great to have around for refurbishing laptops. I use this stuff on my own desktop computer and was happy to find an "industrial size". Can't recommend it enough for everyday mid-range processors. Makes older i5s and i7s totally usable in 2026, which I love since the average laptop's build quality just gets worse and worse as time goes on.

This is still the best thermal paste for the price. I've never had a problem using the MX-4. Love the fact that you can buy it in large amounts

Great heat sink compound of a bit lower viscosity easier to spread on the thermal surface. Another nice thing is the 45g quantity which is great for R&D work and when you’re doing a lot of project work and you need more than just a few grams. When working with peltier modules that need to be changed out, having a larger quantity of thermal compound is advantageous.

This is a big boy of a already amazing product at 45 grams. I have been happy with using MX4 for a while. I have used many other brands, MX4 is my most common go back to product. I use it when replacing thermal compound on console system, GPU's, and CPU's as well as 3D printers. I do enough repairs and new builds that I thought I needed more than a dinky thermal compound tube I have to replace every few months. This is good, but there is a lot. Sometimes there is a tad bit of separation in even the small tubes, so if anyone wants to avoid the mess that causes, press a small amount onto a napkin/cleaning cloth to make sure it is consistent before application. 45 grams is a lot of thermal compound though, but MX4 is surprisingly shelf stable which is why I am ok getting it in bulk. Performance wise, it is one of the best and I will admit there are some better options, but the performance difference is often miniscule until you get to liquid metal which can have its' own list of problems once you bridge over to that. This is probably the best value though as it is roughly twice to three times the cost but you get five times the amount. I got it at a $20 cost and 8grams costs around 7 dollars.

Arctic MX-4 is better than it's successor. It's toothpaste-like consistency spreads without any problems and attaches to the metal. A few daps covered the necessary surfaces. . In comparison, MX-6 was dense dry putty and refused to spread. Dryness caused the product to detach and flake off. After using the entire tube, I ended up removing the junk and went back to the old reliable.
